Interesting. Is the CPU speed the only "lite" in this?

I keep seeing mention of a UMTS/GSM module. Is this supported by any OS/software? I am looking into some home/farm automation.

Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

Currently the Lite board has the same features as the full version, apart the CPU which is clocked at 1 Ghz (1017.5 Mhz to be exact) and the PCI bus which is a little bit faster.

In the future, we may decide the strip some feature from the Lite version.

@m3x
I thinking about replacing my peg2 someday , and lite version looks good for me, but the only one real problem for me, is that currently there no onboard sound support. Have you any info about how far sound driver for sam460 for now ?

@Shufflepuck

Yes, you can mount up to 2 GB DDR2 as on the full version.

With only a small drop in clock speed - but a faster bus this makes it a great buy. Why is the PCI bus faster?

Yes, I'd like to know that too. That missing sound (and OpenGL in my case) is the reason for my developement efforts being on hold.
But I guess ACube isn't the right one to ask.

This is very tempting; nice balance between price & performance .
Would be good to see a pic or two of the case for the full system up on the site.

Well, somebody at Hyperion I'd say. ACube makes (great) hardware that happen to be suited for AmigaOS, but they don't write AOS4 drivers (afaik).

As i know its m3x who write driver for their Silicon onboard graphics chip, so i was in hope that sound drivers also will be done by acube guys.

Ah, didn't know that. Yes, would be great. Would certainly increase the chance that it gets actually done before my sam becomes dusty and rusty.

Looks like the best price/performance ratio for new OS4-capable hardware so far! While I won't buy it just yet (my SAM is less than 2 years old and performs well), I might go for it next year.

Well done, ACube! I must say you have exceeded my expectations I had when I jumped on the Amiga bandwagon again.

What's the industrial version? Any information (beside the price)?

The industrial version is the same board without OS4.1 Licence for the 460ex

Tempting me to upgrade from Sam440, is there a driver for the 460's onboard sound yet?
