Software News   Software News : 1941 DX Dual Players Released
   posted by K-L on 10-Aug-2011 21:43:04 (3467 reads)
1941 Dx Dual Players is the new jewel from Hugues "HunoPPC" Nouvel for the Amiga platform.

This game is based on the KETM (Kill Evrything That Moves) developped by Studio-Grey/Badblocks and greatly enhanced by Huno to improve the ingame experience (smoothness, responsiveness, two players mode, etc...)

The game support joypads, fullscreen and a new auto-update function which will bring new enhancements to the game in the future (new sounds, new musics, new effects, new levels, etc...).

In order to fully enjoy the game, you must register it via Paypal. 1941 DX Dual Players costs 1,70€. With your key, binded to the system used, you'll get the possibility to use the auto-update function and go further in the game (the demo is limited to 1st level and a part of the second one).

The game is available for AmigaOS 4.1 and MorphOS 2.x (and Windows...). An AROS version is in the works.

To buy the game, go on Huno's Ports site.

Have just downloaded and copied to my hard drive on my SAM460, when I double-click the icon I get a window open that is just black inside. I get a Grim Reaper Task 0x5265d670 ("1941-Extreme-DX-Duel.exe") generated an error of type DSI (Data Storage Interrupt) on address 0x6f8454b4 after a minute or so!

Update:

If I choose to ignore DSI errors game now loads but cannot play, it does not respond to pressing enter when I choose 'new game'

Update2:

Just found out what keys to press duhh!

Hey Huno, I tryed to play to this new game, and it is very very difficult, but I like it is as the arcade machine that you could find in bars, arcade machine places, some trick of infinity lives?
And othe question I haven't my Sam with Internet connection, to future updates, donwload the files with the new engines, graphics, etc. without the full game, it will be possible?

I wouldn't mind buying a game like this. The machine-specific license stops me from doing so, though. If I could buy a cross-platform keyfile for perhaps a bit more than the price of a single license, I would be up for that.

@templario
Yes I know that the game is hard because you can compare it to an arcade version, but there are tricks to circumvent the enemy to you to discover this.
Otherwise I am writing a hardcore mode and Baby in order to select the MODE
If not for updates, it is normally possible only by internet, but if it is needed for you I will make an archive with updates

@4-5-6
No, there will be no key multi-systems for reasons of management and security, the game did not already been written for this function there, then I doubt you need 6 ais system to play my game there are people who bought 2 keys and even donated to (I thanked him again).
Finally it's your choice, I hope you change your mind because it would be a shame to miss this
good day
PS:I wanted to note that each version is adapted to the system and it takes time to adapt the code, still more work and that is why individual licenses

Sure. Just pointing out that I don't like the style - especially considering how non-restrictive (and right) the Humble Indie Bundles were done. Any kind of DRM is bad. Having separate DRM solutions to all my platforms is just too much of a headache.

Do make sure to make a newspost if you decide to remove DRM at some point. I'll be sure to buy it then.

I'm very bad playing these games, well, always I was very bad, with the practice perhaps I'll be a great player and pilot.
