| Thanks, Andy! I received a UC-LOGIC Tablet WP5540U from Amazon today, and it works as expected with your 1.3 driver. Have tested it in Personal Paint, TV Paint and LightWave Modeler so far -- just quick tests, though my 8-year-old daughter did some TV Paint images with it while I went out to get dinner for us.
Sometimes I have to unplug and reconnect the USB cable to get the tablet properly recognized, but that may be due to general USB flakiness. Not sure.
The button on the side of the pin seems to be two buttons, but my finger frequently presses the wrong one when I really only want to do erase or menu functions. Is there a way to duplicated the second mouse button function to both buttons? I see the option to swap buttons.
Of course I realize Blender needs three buttons. But I haven't tested this pen/tablet with Blender yet.
UPDATE: I just played a bit in Blender, and this is the perfect interface between human and the Blender way of doing things. I've often thought Blender's method of utilizing the mouse buttons makes no great sense, but it seems perfect for the drawing tablet pen. Now I think whoever designed the Blender way of doing things did not use a mouse at all but a tablet/pen instead! Last edited by mbrantley on 15-Nov-2011 at 02:05 AM.

Great, good to hear . Did you get pressure sensistivity to work in TVPaint? I couldn't get that one to work. ArtEffect and ImageFX4.5 both work with it though (press P in ImageFX4.5 to activate pressure, it's a'hidden' feature).

Same here. I'm not sure if this is down to my driver or the USB stack / hardware. What system do you have?

If it's the same as mine it's a two button toggle. Mine is very har to use, and the switch is abit unresponsive. I suppose I could add the both buttons as RMB option.

Interesting I haven't really used the pen, to inetract with blender yet, my buttons not working properly makes it a liability. But I have implemented pressure sensitivity. Still needs fine tuning, but I'll upoad it soon.Last edited by broadblues on 15-Nov-2011 at 03:08 PM.

| I'll test the pressure sensitivity when I get this working again. I'm having that problem I mentioned over on Amigans.net, where I've probably plugged the tablet in 50 or 60 times today and only got the driver to kick in once.
My system that I have with me while out of town is a Sam440ep in Relec's little The Red One case. Back home I have a Sam440ep-flex. I wonder if it would be better if I went out and got a powered USB hub???
The buttons on my pen are not stiff, but they are together on a small rocker switch -- so it's easy to press the wrong one when trying to erase in PPaint or TVPaint. Have not used ImageFX or ArtEffect with it but will next. With Blender, we're gonna need all buttons working, but with everything else it might be nice for me if both buttons on the rocker switch could be made to emulate RMB.
For about a half-hour this morning my little girl and I were having fun sketching things in LightWave Modeler using the tablet and Moder's lathe function. But then Modeler crashed (sometimes happens), and I haven't got the tablet to show up in Exchange since. _________________
