Wellington, 25th January 2012

AmigaOS 4.1 Update 5 CD for the AmigaONE X1000 "First Contact" system has
gone GOLD!

A-EON Technology and Hyperion Entertainment are pleased to announce that the
AmigaOS 4.1 Update 5 CD, exclusively created for the AmigaONE X1000 "First
Contact" system has gone gold. The professionally re-mastered CD will be

AmigaOS 4.1 "Quick Start" guides. Steven Solie, Hyperion Entertainment's
AmigaOS Development Team Lead said, "The team worked hard to reach this
important milestone in the development of the Amiga Operating System. With

versions for all the other supported hardware platforms as we continue to
push towards the future release of AmigaOS 4.2." Trevor Dickinson added, "I
would like to thank the AmigaOS developers and the whole AmigaONE X1000
betatest team who have worked so tirelessly behinds the scenes to make this
a reality. I would also like to give special thanks to a few key members of
the team who went above and beyond the "call of duty" to ensure the success
of this project. You know who you are." The AmigaOS 4.1 Update 5 boxed set
will be supplied to all AmigaONE X1000 "First Contact" customers who will
also receive a free update to AmigaOS 4.2 when it is commercially released
by Hyperion Entertainment.

AmigaONE X1000 "First Contact" systems now shipping

of AmigaONE X1000 "First Contact" systems have commenced. Matthew Leaman,
Managing Director of AmigaKit commented, "we are pleased to finally supply
this eagerly awaited AmigaONE computer system to our customers". Trevor
Dickinson added, "I have just received my own AmigaONE X1000 system and I
hope "First Contact" owners will have as much fun as I'm having with my new
"Amiga". All that remains to be said is let's "keep this party going!"

@wawa

Yes.

The problem with not proofreading the copy (the wrong link to A-EON springs to mind) is that people copied this to other sites.
The original poster has no control over fixing those posts copied elsewhere as is.

ah yes indeed.. i believe it should read: "keep this fart going"
..so anything even vaguely.. interesting about this update5 gone "gold" ?
(i'd say gone yellow but not as in gold..)
maybe you amigans get they unique opportunity of having tremendous progress report such as for timberwolf:
"color change accordingly to *cough* os *cough* theme settings....
seriously? how many months for that?

i think hyperion should ask and pay aros devs to make any progress on this farceOS4.

I believe your attempt at humour (if that is what this post was meant to actually be) has failed dismally. If you don't like OS4, don't go and stir up trouble in an OS4 thread.

Consider this a warning.

Great news!

I hope that my wallet is ready when more X1000 computers are available for ordering.
Any estimate time for next entry, I just want my own X1000?

seeing how hyperion and friends make you all believe years after years is awsome.

ok no need to over do it..
all jokes must come to an end.
i hope it wasn't too painful.
i did it just for fun :)

but still, as fun as it was to re-read that tos / T.O.U,
i can now say i'm refusing it. i don't wish to be part of that site anymore.

@freeaks

You seem quite unhappy today compared to just this past November.
What happened?

Quote:
@ssolie
i saw the amiwest video the other day, i wanted to say, all thoses ideas you said you were testing:
- frequent releases
- os4 blog
- os4 site
- os4 forum
...there were other things you said, some "unsuccessful attempts you briefly spoke about .. team coordination'n stuffs .. and other ideas i can't remember right now but all those, they're great :)
when i saw the video i thought they were all *that* nice i'll have to come and post about it, so here it is ..
thanks

@number6

nothing.. i stopped to believe a while ago.
x1000 and some little other stuffs started some spark but that died quickly.
now when i watch amiga related news, all i see is nonsense.

so today i thought i might have some fun, and then robocop came,
and i thought i'm fed up with this. so i took time to re-read the tos.

and now i can say i refuse it.

edit: typo
