software OS4   software OS4 : Second beta release of Timberwolf
   posted by zerohero on 28-Mar-2012 14:59:01 (6625 reads)
Taken from AmigaBounty.Net:

The second public beta release is currently uploading to os4depot.net

This new version improves some features of the first beta, and fixes some of the bugs. In essence, the main improvements are as follows:

- Splash screen when starting up (to show something is happening)
- Crash fixes. For example, clicking the zip box no longer crashes
- Right-click popup menus work now
- Downloads work now
- Timberwolf now uses a native ASL file requester instead of the alien file picker

As usual, feedback welcome. We'll be establishing a bugtracker soon.

Had it totally eat my my cpu and the splashscreen never exited. Had to reset the X1000. Second time it freezed the hell out. 3rd time i started Timberwolf before Wookiechat and sabremsn and then it loaded fast and worked ok. So for my first load timberwolf before these other apps :)

Anyway cant post on facebook as with previous version. And the most usefull feature for me its copy/paste url which dont work.

Other then that the browser seems to work good. More to try out :) (posted with TW)

@kicko

For some reason (I lie I forget to pick severity ) I reported the Clipboard issues as Minor when the reality is - its quite a severe bug/limitation. I really miss Cut/Copy/Paste!
