| They're almost at 40% of the proposed goal, I believe it's far from being impossible to achieve.
Mods, I made a mistake, the deadline is Monday Jun 4, 12:00am CEST. Could someone change it in the article please? Last edited by Turrican3 on 17-Apr-2012 at 03:59 PM. Last edited by Turrican3 on 17-Apr-2012 at 03:59 PM.

| Could have mentioned the word Amiga at least once on the campaign page.
Why does he/she/they need so much money? _________________

| Amended the article.
@djrikki
Well the game may have appeared on the Amiga and been one of our all time favourites, but it was a multi format affair with some of the better versions appearing on the consoles of the day (Megadrive and SNES both had several iterations of the Turrican series which were very different to the Amiga one). _________________ Test sig (new)

From the project page:
"I made a complete calculation for the budget that includes my work time in the studio (6+ months), orchestra recordings, CD manufacturing, shipping, art prints and other items and we would need to raise at least $75k." _________________

It does seem a lot but studio time is expensive, and s tudio b ig enough to fit even a small orchestra in is going cost quite a bit. Let alone paying the orchestra.
The idea of buy a CD full of music from a video game does nothing for me, but each to their own.... _________________ BroadBlues On Blues BroadBlues On Amiga Walker Broad

The Amiga and C64 versions was way superior to the Snes and Megadrive versions in most if not all aspects.
The music on the Megadrive is a really "cheap" version and even Chris himself said the same in an interview around 2000 (when Factor5 was planning Turrican 4).
The Snes version (Super Turrican) may have had some good boss battles but the overall gameplay was far too annoying in the long run (like the scrolling and camera default point).
The C64 version was the original IIRC and one of the best games + music on it.
The Amiga version was perfect of the 2 first games.
Turrican 3 had awesome music but the gameplay and design came from the consoles and the port felt good but far from the first 2 games.
Manfred's games from the late 80s and early 90's may be some of the finest games ever produced (lionheart,Giana sisters,Turrican series, R-Type and then he went to produce some of the worst games in the last decade 2000's like Crazy Frog Racing and Germany's Top Model...................
@broadblues
I have bought all his CD's, wonderful music and one of the best musicians from the 80's and 90's and he has an extremely big fanbase so i am pretty sure this will sell pretty darn good. I got his last Turrican Compilation, it's fantastic but loads of songs is missing from that and it certainly ain't "best of either" , at least thats my opinion.
PS: i buy like 5 cd's a year, i am just too old for the current gen pop music (rap,hip hop bla bla) and if buy cd's now its mostly retro stuff and experiemental (blues,rock mix stuff) stuff. Another reason is ofcourse things like the wonderful Music Unlimited and VidZone on the Playstation3 (for single tracks and videos). Last edited by Toaks on 18-Apr-2012 at 07:36 AM.

Musics in the C64 versions are nice, but most ingame music is missing (as there's only sound effects)
Also, the musics are almost totally different from the Amiga version, and mostly done by different people.
While I think Chris did have some involvement, the C64 version of Turrican 1 is credited primarily to Ramiro Vaca (by HVSC) although other people were involved aswell (including Chris)
Turrican 2 musics were mostly done by Markus Siebold (who released Mechanical Dreams in 2004)
What I'm saying is, I won't expect too many tunes Chris wasn't directly involved with, that's the impression I got from the reply when I asked him too.
Personally I like C64 Turrican 1 end music, even if it's quite directly "borrowed" from Transformers - The Movie Last edited by Jupp3 on 18-Apr-2012 at 10:38 PM.

i just checked C64 Turrican 1 + 2 videos on Youtube, its the music i remember, absolutely fantastic music , hmm i thought it was by Chris too but youre right its not.
Would have been cool if Chris remixed these or whatever :) Hmm, i'm off to try and find the c64 music in downloadable form. _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com
