posted by AndreasM on 10-May-2012 8:37:22 (2110 reads) |
We have gathered user feedback after releasing DigiRoller 1.1, the player and renderer of DigiBooster 3 and DigiBoosterPro 2.x music modules. The new, 1.2 version has most of suggested features implemented and a reported bug fixed. The program is also translated to Spanish now. Here is a detailed list:
- Volume boost feature. - AHI unit configurable via commandline parameter and icon tooltype. - Current song position displayed also as text. - Filename for output file is generated automatically from module name. - Playback mode is set as default now. - Spanish catalog and guide translation by Dmaso Domnguez. - Polish guide translation by Grzegorz Kraszewski. - Fixed crash when MUI is not installed.

Nothing to hold your breath, but I've looked at old dbplayer.library API to check if I can make it backward compatible. It seems that I can keep binary compatibility with old one, except of DBM_SetVolume(). In fact I do not get exactly its purpose, setting volume for all channels will ruin all volume and balance dependencies in the module. In my opinion this function should control the global volume (similarly as the master volume slider in DigiBooster), so for example it may be used for volume slider in application or crossfading.
Of course the library will have more functions added, like functions for rendering module to memory buffer. _________________ RastPort

Imho just implement it as global volume (i think that was original purposes of the authors, just somehow done strange). In end of all global volume function are good to have.

For first-initial-beta version, even just functionalyty of old library will be enough. So we can at least port latest uprough musicdisks which want it :) _________________ Join us to improve dopus5! zerohero's mirror of os4/os3 crosscompiler suites
