Of course there's so MUCH more actually in the magazine.

Needless to say you'll find some FULL versions of software, often what was commercially available, as well as the PD software on the cover CD.

A detailed description of content and excerpts can be found at: http://www.amigafuture.de/kb.php?mode=article&k=4234

The Amiga Future magazine is available as an English and German printed magazine - every issue now available in FULL COLOUR - directly available from the magazine editorial office and also from various other Amiga dealers.

For a good spread there could be some work done:

Ideas: CD off- Please switch mine as it was just for support. Everybody has at least internet for dowloads, make some colour prints for our granpa reading guys with a code or something to download the new DeluxePaint or IBrowse finally;)

Memory cards are fine but as a bonus who can connect a usb or even a dd disk.

Order the mag and get a 4gig usb stick or the best game ever if You can speak with Edgar M.Vidgal for a special disket version of Deluxe Galaga.

News like the mags at the store:

Amiga is comming back? In my dreams or

Amiga laptop released..

Some stands at the local metropol just for fun.

I would ditch the thing that is 100% hungry and make a good Answers and Questions as in old days.

eg. Can I change a crystal in an Apollo 060 from the 50Mhz to a 66 or even 80-100 without any other changes?

or

Where could I send this card for another 32 megs of memoryslot to be added+memory?

or

If I get an G4 PowerMac or two for free can I be an Amigaman?
There is a G3 too but is it too slow?

or
is there any possibilitie to run Payback on this xxx system.

or can I get my OS4,1 switched from a broken AmigaOne system to a different etc AX1000 or a better Sam?

Answer:
Yes, it costs 20e. Get the serial from Hyperions site and You will see the codes..
If You read this then You have internet so Please this is just my opinion..

Have You fired Hyperions brothers enough for some news? I'd like exclusive even at these net times and not in the Amigaforums.

Can I make an article but my English sucks as You can see?

I don't. Buying a faster pc if this is not an Amigamagazine anymore?

Aros, Morphos, ok. Never will use. Amiga or stop ordering. Nobodys fault but the time is going for me.

There is a new os and Amigas but only problems and nothing can be done with these after 10 years of waiting. (25 years ago this was the best hobby&work).

I know we'll never surrender as the old ones rule but the AmigaFuture does not look very bright.

One more year and I'll laugh.5 Amigas stay on, evolution does not work in this land anymore,

Also I think that CD-ROM/DVD is not needed with the magazine. I imagine it adds to the cost of the mag somewhat.

Would ftp service for magazine buyers be too hard to make work, to replave CD?
I imagine some contributed SW is intended only for buyers.

Other than that. I love the magazine. Even though I favour real AOS evolution, I read every AROS & MOS & retro article as well.
(UAE stuff is the least interesting for me, but I understand that winUAE users might be the main audience.)

Yes it is a "Amigamagazine"

First Andreas can only report if there is something to report. When there are no news regarding AOS you have to blame Hyperion and not Andreas.

Second...
"Aros, Morphos, ok. Never will use. Amiga or stop ordering."

I do not understand this sentence... Amiga or stop ordering?

Aros (in this case Aros 68k) is completely 68k, it is 3.1. for 68k applications and games (no need for special compiles) and it is running on real classic hardware.

AOS on the other side might be based on the old 68k code at the start but it is PowerPC. It is not running on a Amiga 4000 or Amiga 1200 f.e. (with only 68k processor), Aros 68k does.

So what is more Amiga?

My next big project is a "light" version of my distribution targetting classic hardware where I think will be a big need.

I accept that some have developed special feelings regarding AOS but it is not based on facts.

Some people have to understand that Amiga Future has to cover all the AmigaOS variations (even MorphOS or AROS), because there are also readers from those platforms who are subscribed to the magazine. Yes, and even, emulators (which in my personal taste I hate them).

But again, you don't have to moaning about, the magazine mostly covers AmigaOS 68k and AmigaOS 4.x if you haven't figure it out.

On the other hand, if you believe that Amiga Future magazine must be AmigaOS 4.x only, then you're making a mistake. Amiga is 68k too, and very active as you see.

my english are not really good. i hope i have all understand right and can answer in correct english :)

at first. The Amiga Future is a Amiga Print Mag. Amiga included for us all Amiga Systems. Classic Amiga (68k), AmigaOS 4, MorphOS, AROS, Amiga Emulator...

The biggest part of the mag was (and be in the future) Classic Amiga and AmigaOS 4.

But we can only review Software, what are released. We dont make our own Software :) We can only print answer for questions when we get a answer.

About the CoverCD. The CoverCD payed a part of the Printmag. Not the Printmag payed the CoverCD. Without a AcoverCD we must make the Price for the PrintMag higher.

About the Idea with FTP and so on. I have the same idea. but first in some years (see Boingsworld #29 Interview). But there are some problem. How we make it that only Subscribers have access. For this we must make some techincal changes and this cost many money. Who make the mork for this and how we payed this User. But this is a idea what we start in 3-4 years. nothing bout to talk today :) Other general Problem about the webpage are that we dont have enough Advertising, Donate and Sponsorship to make more.

About Bonus. Bonus are every time a nice idea. But who payed the Bonus :/ Please dont forget. The Amiga Future are a non profit Projekt for us.

Every Subscriber help us. The printing-cost for the single issues are cheaper when we print more copies. But Bonus cant we pay :/

About Software. We have on the Amiga Future Webpage many GByte an Software (Fullversion too) for free download. I think enogh for every one :)

i hope i write it on correct english :)

THANK YOU!, love your magazine and its good to see all formats supported even tho i am not interested in anything other than OS4 at this point.

I always read the entire magazine, even if its about stuff i don't follow or think too much about.

keep up the great work guys.

I am a registered user of Amiga Future (website) and personnaly I think it is a good idea to have a CD-Cover, even if I haven't subscribed to the magazine.

Some people are forgetting (or not thinking about) that there are still classic amigas users and a CD is a good thing because if you remember, on the classic Amiga, there was only a "56K" modem port and for connecting to web was a patience's game... and upgrading a classic Amiga was expensive.

On the other side, even with fast internet connection, who want to stay hours and hours on the web downloading/browsing all stuff ?

Do you remember Amiga Format, Amiga Plus, Aminet, Amiga Dream, CAM Cd/Magazines ? we all were so glad to have a CD and waiting on the new issue...

Thank you for your work Andreas (and to your team) and go on with it.

Nic

@AndreasM

About this affirmation:
"But we can only review Software, what are released. We dont make our own Software :) We can only print answer for questions when we get a answer."

Lie, I make software for OS3.5-3.9, OS4, MorphOS and any occasion for AROS and I never saw article, mention about it.

My friend, don't worry. I'll write a review of your apps. It's in my to-do list.

Send me a PM here.

Don't mix politicals with Amiga. It's pointless.

We should not start politics and North versus South here because it would not lead very far...

Why not ? The article is positive about your software !

Even if it was not, every magazine has to be neutral and objective when testing software ...

Probably you have misunderstood what's the real purpose of a review. It's not about fame and glory, it's about how good or bad a program/game is, providing suggestions for improvement, or for other Amigans to see what's about.

@Fred_AROS

No, when the article is old and the program has several updates with best improvements!
