Please report any bugs. I know of one (unfixable) bug: It won't switch mode back when you release Alt until you move the mouse. _________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft.

| Thanks for the update.
One question though. Is it possible for Annotate to start using C/C++ syntax highlighting? It always starts for plain text, and I always have to change the syntax everytime, despite saving prefs, so I'm forced to save a small file and open this always to have C/C++ syntax from the start. _________________

That's currently not possible. But just one question? How often do you start writing C/C++ from scratch?!? I mean, in 99.9% of the cases one would open an existing file, which should automatically load the correct syntax.
Otherwise you can also test the "Try syntax in this editor" menu option. It should analyse the text and try to find a correct syntax definition if there's enough C/C++ tokens. That would save you going into the config and select the syntax. _________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft.

I see, thanks for the answer. Don't worry not big deal, sometimes I just play around and came up with this one. I had the impression that if you save your prefs to a specific syntax highlighting, it will be loaded after a fresh restart of the program. _________________

Yeah, it's a bit confusing that this particular thing isn't saved but only applied for the currently open editor (the one from which you opened the config). What you could do is to save a project with an empty file and C/C++ syntax. That should work I suppose, but may be more awkward.... _________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft.
