He developed it with an Atari ST and took the ST's limitations into account, imagine if it had been developed using the blitter, sprites and copper, the Amiga's hardware was severely underused.
Still KickOff rules:)

If you additionally watch this video conference that Dino did on the Game Develeoper Conference Vault website, you will see that although he developed the original game on the ST, he remade it specifically for the Amiga making full use of the machines capabilities.
