The MorphOS development team is proud to announce the public release of MorphOS 3.4, which introduces faster R300 graphics drivers, improved video playback on G5-based systems, support for non-native display resolutions on various PowerBooks, screen blanker password protection, and numerous bug fixes and other improvements. For an overview of the included changes, please read our release notes.

We strongly urge new users to carefully read our installation and troubleshooting guides before they attempt to install MorphOS for the first time. Existing users can upgrade via the familiar procedure but are encouraged to read the guides as well. MorphOS 3.4 is available for download in our files section.

Great update, thank you MorphOS Team!

So, what powerbook models support non-native resolutions now? I can't get any non-native resolution listed in Screen prefs on my PB 5.9..

Cheers!

Dragster

EDIT: Nevermind... :)

@g0ldf1sh:
Until that thing gets supported (if ever, not the easiest bit, needs a binary blob firmware which cannot be distributed with the system, thanks Broadcom) I have bought an Atheros PCMCIA wireless card for ~5 EURs second hand, and lived happily ever after. (In fact I'm making this post through it.) Why is this not an option for you?

If you download it you can still use it for half an hour before needing a reboot. Best way to try it!

I've made a little review about MorphOS 3 in general (up to 3.3 currently) here. 3.4 brought something compared it, like support for different screenmodes on laptops.. you can check those release notes for the latest version, but otherwise I think that article gives you quite good overview :)
