Welcome Marcus !

I just looked at your Amiga case (or the Gehäuse page)
It looks extremely cool !!

Is the blackMAGMA AIO and the Amiga keyboard designed inhouse ?

Me want, but I to have money pinch at the moment

At you planning to sell addon cards as well ?
(if so, may I recommend stacking up this card http://www.ebay.nl/itm/Kouwell-KW-7207-SCHEDA-PCI-COMBO-CARD-3-X-IEEE-1394a-3-X-USB2-0-2-SATA-/131320247666?pt=Schede_PCI_I_O_controller_per_PC_e_Server&hash=item1e934bf572

works here on XE ! sata not tested but detected)

Hi Everyone!

I want one of those keyboards! They are awesome and remind me of the original commodore keyboards. As soon as the site is running in English, I think I will be ordering!

Hey Trewq,

Thank you for this comment, as this is exactly what I am asking for, to tell me what is needed in the community or hard to find!

The blackMAGMA AIO is based on a bare case that I import to Germany and is then case modified by myself.

Also the idea of the Monitor mounting was mine. The case is just perfect for this.

In regards to the MAGMAkeys, same thing. I customize it for Amiga. And that is the reason, why the main keycaps are white and the Modifiers are in this beige/grey that we all know from the A500 and so on. I could also do all caps white or e.g. yellow combined with pink, or any other colour combinations. I probably will offer that as an option at some point later.

So, you can see, the brain behind all the cool stuff is me :)

The idea about doing all this was, that I was extremely unsatisfied with the cooling on the expensive Nemo board out of the box. Also I didn't like the cheap stuff surrounding the board. Well, the case from Fractal Design is already very cool, that's for sure yes. But think about the (origin) Logitech mouse and this (origin) Cherry Keyboard, both with the AmigaONE sticker on it. I think it is just time to show Apple and Co. that they are no longer the only ones with a state of the art design hardware.

It's just the right time to MAGMArize :)

But please can you tell me more about the addon card you need. What is exactly the technical gap that you want to close? I am asking, because I did already test a couple of such cards. Please send me a PM, so we can discuss that.

Kind regards
Marcus

Thank you Yogi27!

As I mentioned in the post before, the design idea was exactly what you said. I chose the color combination that all of us know from the best (and maybe first) girlfriend we all ever had.

But it may happen that in the near future I offer own color options. It depends if there is a demand from the community.

So stay tuned....

Marcus

Good luck with it, but Im a little curious about what need there is for a high end cooling system for machines that are built around hardware that was designed from the get-go to be cool/passively run?

Surely neither sam, nor a1-x1000 need anything more than the most basic of cooling?
Or are the machines not as cool running/economical as they should be?
Im really not a fan of big bulky systems. Shame that NG Amigas have to be so big, bulky and loud (especially given that theyre based on hardware designed not for computational power, but for power economy).

Heck, even my i7 desktop runs passively and that's probably a good 10x+ as powerful as any amiga hardware.

Yes its a bit hard to create an slim PowerPC computer since most PPC chips are designed for
server use (right?), and since its expensive to manufacture for Acube and A-eon to manufacture I suppose they go all out then
since the price differnce would be minimal between a mini ATX and ' normal' ATX board.

Shame about the AmigaOne netbook being canccelled
Really looked forward for that one

I'd have loved a MiniITX X1000.

Not really, the hardware was really weak and the price was never going to be as low as hoped.

That's part of the reason I have stuck with my sam440ep mini-itx system.

I just don't see the need or have the space for a large NG Amiga system these days.

If they release a faster small form factor NG Amiga in the £700+VAT price range like my sam440 I will think about upgrading but in the mean time my sam440 is much faster than my fully expanded A1200 Tower system and takes up much less space, so that's all I really need form a NG Amiga.

@fishy_fis

I understand your concerns. But see it that way: if you go today to a PC discounter and buy a standard PC, then find that the system is to loud, you simply replace the fans or coolers against an alternative. Or you ignore, really depending on your personal needs.

But what about people that do not have the option to do so at all? Like Amigans. Because the manufacturer tells you there is no alternative cooling, you stick with the standard components and that's it. No alternative, nothing to improve...great support hah.

People like me, and my first customers agree as well, do and did have reasons to replace the standard cooling stuff. If you absolutely don't hear the fans anymore and even get on top a better cooling, why not? Right?

By the way. I tested my MAGMAcooler without a fan, and got the same temp as I had with the manufacturer standard cooler plus fan. THAT is quality.

But I don't recommend using the MAGMAcooler without a fan, because every user has a different usage and different number of other components in the PC case. Therefor I cannot give any warranty on my products.

But I just wanted to tell, that a good engineered cooling solution is available now to people that have an interest to improve the noise reduction in addition to a better cooling at the same time.

So I accept people saying there is no need for this. But what a luck, people now have the choice :) Isn't it just nice that the Amiga community now has another dealer to go to and find interesting accessories?

Kind regards, and let me know if anyone has specific questions. I am happy to share any Information.
Marcus

@Marcom,

could you do a custom A1200 Tower?

A1200 Tower... I like the idea. Let's discuss that.

What are the most important details I would need to take care off?
