| QT5 bounty taken is nice but at the same time he says that he has no knowledge about GUI dev so how is this gonna be ported? I was assuming that GUI QT code will be wrapped to native Amiga GUI. Kamelito |

| @kamelit0 You can port without knowing details of how the stuff works. Qt will be qt as on Linux, OS X Or Windows and not a wrapper to zune or something. _________________ AROS Broadway - AEROS - Aminux - AmiCloud - indieGO! | QT 5 taken? Where? When? The last thing I recently read after asking was he will not take it for reasons he does not explain |

Very enlightening for folks wanting to understand some of the basic differences between AmigaOS, MorphOS, and AROS and the challenges that co-operation between them entails.
Most of that gets covered about 38 minutes into the discussion.

| A few points: - I have plenty of experience with writing GUI programs, but not using MUI or ReAction. - You don't need to know how to write GUIs using a specific toolkit in order to port it, just as you don't need to be able to read sheet music to port a music notation software :) - Qt is a not GUI toolkit, but a C++ framework, which happens to have its own GUI toolkit among its dozen of other modules. I hope this clears up some of the confusion. _________________ This is just like television, only you can see much further.

| Yep, but one more thing, does it mean no OS4 port of QT5? Kamelito |

| The OS4 Qt5 port is already being in the works by alfkil, but he is short of time to finish it. He said he could complete it in a couple of months if he weren't busy with real-life stuff :\ _________________ This is just like television, only you can see much further.
