Miscellaneous News   Miscellaneous News : Carl Sassenrath interview by Kees Witteveen
posted by _Steve_ on 7-Aug-2003 13:34:19 (2650 reads)
Kees and a group of fellow Amiga.org users had put together a series of questions some time ago and sent them to one of the original 1.x AmigaOS gurus, Carl Sassenrath - who is now responsible for REBOL and its future development.

The results of their questioning can be found here.

Nice work Kees and co. .

Looking forward to the Hermans mkII interview .

BTW, isn´t interesting how developers so closely related to the Amiga of yesteryear often lose track of what is happening in the amiga world of today!

They did a machine which was too modern for the year of birth. We still use A500 and 2000 also 1000.

Only feelings I had about the TEAM is respect !

Both the OS and the machine were ahead of their time. Unfortunately neglected, the machine is now behind in many areas, though its responsiveness is still one of its best assets that most modern OSs have yet to match (mentioning no names of course cough *Windows* cough)
