Software News   Software News : Jim Power In Mutant Planet for Windows, OsX, Aros and AmigaCD32
posted by phoenixkonsole on 26-Nov-2015 20:09:51 (4415 reads)
Hi,
I am glad to announce a new partnership with Piko Interactice LLC.
Patrick Nevian (Blue Metal Rose, Amiworx, Chris Hülsbeck Piano edition) is working on a Piano version of the title theme.
Besides the digital releases running via emulation on OS X, Windows and AROS a limited batch of a printed CD32 will be released.

OSX (Intel) and Windows versions are available for 4€ in the indieGO!-AppStore.
The AROS version will follow this weekend.

The digital premium version will cost 7€ and contains additionally the Piano Version of the Jim Power Title theme.

Everyone who purchases the digital version will pay only the difference to the physical box price when this package arrives. It is planned to release the CD32 Version next to the upcoming SNES and Genesis releases.

Patrick's Piano Version will be also available stand alone in the indieGO!-AppStore.

The digital extended version is also part of the limited Aros Broadway collectors USB stick ; )

Besides Jim Power the following games will see digital and physical releases:
Mutant Planet
Battle Squadron
Sword of Sodan
Onslaught
Custodian
Pinkie

Just so we're clear (I'm not trolling you, honest):

The only thing that actually happened so far is that Jim Power is available for 4€ in your shop, is that correct?

Can you be more specific re "OSX and WIndows versions"? We're talking Game/UAE/AROS ROM bundles here, right?

Hi,
Yes so far only packs for osx(Intel) and Windows are available.
Each pack contains a launcher-menu which basically launches a emulator. Indeed aros Roms are used.

I announced the extended versions to give people the chance to wait 1 week or 2 for the extended version or the USB stick which may be interesting and will include it as well.

at least one game makes trouble with AROS roms so it may be released with 1.3 roms licensed from cloanto.. While of course I will try to get the incompatibilities fixed.

Piko Inreractive will take care about the physical releases. The collectors edition will be limited to 250 units including a Soundtrack Album and some other goodies which will be announced when ready by Piko Interactive.. The important info regarding this is that the price of this physical product will be discounted for buyers of the Download versions. (But buying the download version gives no guarancee to get one of the 250 packages.. Those need to be be ordered seperately on a first comes first scheme)

Hi,

the market is still too small to roll out some products and especially too much at the same time.. Maybe in one year

For me the Magic userbase number would be 1000.. we are stuck at the 500+ (520 actually).

It is about Timing.
Whatever did you see Amiga Racer? If not you should look at it ; )

I will release some demo-Versions of "ready to go"-gamepacks like Need4Speed, Destruction Derby, Screamer and so on..
You could help me to check "Performance" on OS4 machines. (I have only a SAM440@533MHZ, life begins at 1GHZ)

Depending on the download numbers I may release full-version earlier.. for now my Magic number is 200 downloads because I can't always pay in advance and wait 5 years to recover : p

I've put placeholder for some games in the indieGO!-store to measure interest..
Based on this number I plan to release those games with Emulator and native launcher menu for OS4 and AROS.

In General I will work on a "vote for games" function so audience can decide where to put the yearly Budget..

Also I would like to have the next appstore Client rolled out because this Shows only Software suitable for the OS it is running on...

Might be very wrong as 800-933 XE goes ok with Altivec but the difference is with the GFX card. 9250 was the One in AmigaOne. (Still is)

Nvidia with the pc is ok.

So GFX card does the job usually.

Jim Power Extended including the exclusive Piano Edition of the title theme arranged by Patrick Nevian is also included in this small package ; )
