| Nice with the keyboard adapter. Now make it the other way around! I want to be able to use my A2000/3000/4000 or CD32 and CDTV keyboards on my PC/FPGA Replay! So Amiga -> PS/2 and USB would rock for many that use FPGA boards or UAE. _________________ AOS4 Betatester, Peg2, G4@1ghz, Radeon 9250 256mb, 1gb RAM.

It should do since it applies the keyboard and clock signals directly to the CIA as it is in big-box Amigas, bypassing the membrane limitations of the A1200, though it depends on the firmware implemented in the adaptor itself.
I don't really think it's a bug, but more of a limitation of the design. The matrix was never designed to handle certain key combinations, perhaps to fit the number of traces required into existing connectors in order to reduce cost.Last edited by Daedalus on 20-Jun-2016 at 08:12 AM.

I already had similar adapters from Eyetech and Individual that did the same. That's why I was asking. Bit of a useless fact but because the Lyra 2 fits over the keyboard MPU so you can use it at the same time as the Eyetech or SUM adapters.
It just occurred to me that since this is USB you can use a Keyrah and retain the the original keyboard and you get the bonus of 2 Sinclair style joystick ports. It would be cool if someone made a nice little housing for it all for those prefer not to use the original computer case for their keyboard. |

| And they were adaptors that fit over the MPU that had that problem? Or did they fit in to the ribbon slot? Ribbon slot adaptors will suffer the same issues because of the design. MPU or CIA fitted ones shouldn't, though they can't get around some badly designed PC keyboards also having issues with multiple keypresses. But otherwise the only thing stopping them from supporting multiple keypresses is their firmware, so it's a bit disappointing if they don't bother.
As an aside, the pins are different but it's the same signal that the over-chip adaptors all latch onto - keyboard clock and data. They both go directly between the MPU and the CIA so either can be used with the appropriate modifications.
As for the extra joystick ports - it's a nice side-effect but how many games support the keystrokes it produces? I guess there are some that allow you to remap controls but so many old games don't have that option. _________________ RobTheNerd.com | InstallerGen | SMBMounter | Atoms-X

| Hi,
I received my order yesterday and the first thing I did was plug in a "RYS MKII Amiga USB Adapter" into the Mouse Port of my A1200/JAWSMKII system with a modified USB Tank Mouse (Thanks James) it worked as advertised,.
Regards, Michael
