I published new benchmarks on my web pages from the recent vesion of the dynamic recompiling based M68k emulator for AmigaOS4.

This version is already converted to AmigaOS4, and running on the native PowerPC system.

"I" is not me, SlimJim, but the original poster on AmigaOrg,
"rachy". This news item should probably be rephrased
somewhat ...

There should be an adress there too, but it seems to have
fallen away in the process:

http://amigos.amiga.hu/rachy/petunia.html

---

Does this mean the integration of the emulator is now complete, and only updates to the emulation itself is left? The integration was one of the major stumbling blocks if I recall correctly.

-Edit, answering myself -
It does unfortunately not mean Petunia is fully
integrated, according to Ben Hermans' reply on amiga.org.
Integration work is done by another developer.

All I can say, is, somebody give me my A1 G4 800 with OS 4.0 so I can watch those lemmings go flying round the course

I mean if its as fast as my 06/50 on an 180MHz/604 machine whats it gonna be like on a 800Mhz G4????

watch that smoke fly really....

not to mention the general speed-up the PPC OS/new hardware is going to give as well.

Mark

Alas .. thers only about three or four old proggies I would like on os4 and one of those definately wont run ..

( My favourite) .... true Brilliance .. Which is a shame..

/Finalwriter should make the transition though, As should ImageFX and hopefully Photogenics.

Yes, Final Writer is important to me too. I was very
happy to read one of the prime developers (think it
was one of the Friedens) say on ANN that they had
FW already running flawlessly on AOS4 (or
something to that effect).

Shall I open my mouth and say, "Shadow of the Beast" 1 2 3 ?

and there are so many others that I would like to see emulated.

Probably won't run a lot of the old goodie games though.

I'm hoping to see the results of this emulation project soon.

I'd be VERY surprised if any of the old AGA games worked on os4..

and iirc .. Shadow of the beast was AGA ..

(got it somewhere around here).

Shadow of the Beast was OCS not AGA. I had Beast 3 running on a 512K A1000 and it worked.
