Software News   Software News : NetSurf 3.7 released!
   posted by Chris_Y on 23-Oct-2017 13:37:09 (1494 reads)
NetSurf is a small, fast, CSS-capable web browser for multiple platforms including AmigaOS.

NetSurf 3.7 features performance improvements, improved page layout, and many fixes. Also new is a treeview search feature, which allows Hotlist (Bookmarks), History and Cookies to be searched. We recommend all users upgrade to NetSurf 3.7.

Official downloads (AmigaOS 4 version)
AmigaOS3 beta version

Very very good and rock solid vs Odyssey on my pegasos II which after a few new tabs always gives me a guru meditation.

@Deniil715

Not even the mobile site? (I don't use Facebook but believe the mobile site was working in the past).
Sometimes disabling Javascript helps too.

@Chris_Y

Yeah, the mobile version works, but it works with Odyssey too.

I use Netsurf on my sam440 more than other browsers. It works great for sites, that does not require heavy javascript..

@Deniil715

What platform? Odyssey worked last time I checked. Bit slow on my XE, fine on my X1000.

@Chris_Y

Upgraded from NetSurf 3.6 to NetSurf 3.7. Works well on most websites I regularly visit.

Thanks,
redfox

@Hypex

OS4. Maybe the latest MOS version has a slightly newer webkit engine?
Odyssey 1.23.
Facebook complains I should upgrade, and some layout is wrong and it hangs on some JS code very often now.
