Internet News   Internet News : New Amiga X5000 blog
   posted by mdr on 5-Nov-2018 17:14:30 (1516 reads)
I'm an old Amigan who has just taken the plunge and jumped into the exciting world of next-gen systems with my new X5000. I've started recording my experiments on my blog at http://www.markround.com/amiga/. I know there's some great blogs and a lot of information about next-gen systems already but thought my take on the X5000 as an old Amigan returning to the scene may be of interest, and might help others decide to join the fun! There's already two articles written so far, and I'll be adding to it as I go along and discover new things. Hope you enjoy!

Informative read, learnt in a few things about RunInUAE I didn't know. Like your little shortcut script for your old A1200 setup, neat.

The SATA connector incident sounds truly hair raising! I've found a hair drier does a good job of warming up that glue gun glue enough that you can peel it off nicely.

Tried to post a comment on your blog but the comments links don't seem to be working (Microsoft Edge).

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it. Sorry the comments don't seem to work - they load just fine for me in FF and Chrome on Mac (haven't yet tried using Odyssey on the Amiga, as I usually have Javascript disabled for the sake of stability). Will see if I can work out what's going on there.

Nice as an (not so old) Drummer could start a band.

Good to have people back as here a lot is also self-learn-based in the few Migas.

-------------

I Really have hated the Net situation and Printing for a long time. Priority in our work starting from the A500 was DPV+ Star Colour Printer..

Why come Opera, Firefox, IE etc are for free?

Sorry My Rant. Doing it as long as I live.

Nice going there.

Nice blog!

Nice Ibanez too. I really like the S-series; they're so thin and light.

@mdr

I was using Edge on Windows 10 when I tried to comment, not tried on Odyssey.

Thanks!
