posted by Trixie on 28-Feb-2023 11:24:24 (714 reads)
An update to the Rave audio editor has been released on os4depot.net.

NEW IN THIS RELEASE:

- Import and export of raw files.
- Saving in the Ogg Vorbis format.
- Reworked the IFF-8SVX saver, which now also supports stereo.
- Saving WAV files is no longer limited to PCM: several other data formats and encodings can be selected in the WAV configuration window.
- Reworked the MP3 saver configuration window for better user control.
- When using the Save function, compressed files (MP3, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis) are no longer overwritten silently, without giving the user a chance to review/adjust the compression parameters.
- Added a Save As button in the program toolbar.
- Added a Pause button in the transport bar.
- Linked with the latest versions of libogg and libvorbis for improved Ogg Vorbis support.
- Various other smaller improvements and fixes.
- Updated documentation.

INSTALLATION:

Just extract the program drawer to a suitable location on your disk, making sure that it has plenty of free space. Replace any previous installation of the program.

REQUIREMENTS:

- AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition Update 2 or newer.
- Enhancer Core classes (toolbar.gadget, infodata.gadget, select.gadget, shared.image).

FEATURE OVERVIEW:

- A modern, configurable graphical user interface (GUI).
- A tabbed environment for managing multiple projects from within a single program window.
- A powerful custom file requester with preview playback and other useful features.
- A wide selection of editing functions with unlimited Undo.
- Asynchronous operation: performing a task in a project doesn't block the other projects.
- Support for multiple clipboard units.
- Modular design with an object-oriented plugin system, which makes the program easy to extend.
- A wide range of supported audio file types and formats.

See the included documentation (or its online version) for more information.
