I think it should be a list made up from the donators choices, and the app with the most votes should be the first to be ported or coded.

But before that the responsible programmer(s) should be contacted to ask if they are willing to do it

If yes, GREAT. If not go to nr 2 on the list !

Cheers

Martin

Because some people will not know what's involved, what copyrights are already in place, what is commercially viable etc. I would say some elected people in the right places would be best to choose.

Like who ? How many people would be needed for this ?

That is open for discussion at this point.

Bear in mind, these polls are meant to gauge IF people are interested, and HOW they would be comfortable participating in such a thing.

Personally, I think a combination of hardware, or partial hardware purchases for some (critical) projects, some bounties for specific software that 'anyone' can do (someone mentioned ssh2, which I think is _very_ important and likely to be a good, reasonable bounty), plus perhaps a handful of 6 month to yearly 'awards' (ie, best new port, best new software)...along with some attempted organized communication with some former Amiga developers or current companies.

How much any of the above is even feasible of course depends on the community at large, how donations might progress, as well as trying to make as many people comfortable in participating in such a task.
