Poll : Determining what project(s) should be 'supported' through an 'OS4 Dev Fund' should be done:
By elected members from the community; let them deal with it.
By everyone donating getting a single vote per donation.
By everyone donating getting a single vote per donation of $N amount.
By community polls open to everyone, including those unable to donate.

So, to extend on that one a bit, what if a 'sampling' of projects were to be listed by such a group, and then allowed donors to vote on the priority of each, thus _hopefully_ balancing out 'realistic' goals with what individual donors would like to see?

I think having the community involved as much as (reasonably) possible would be key to any form of long-term success, but yeah, there are realities to be faced as well- if donation are totalling $400 USD, that isn't exactly a sane expectation to see Macromedia do a flash port
