aros 68k:
In the early years of AROS there has been Linux/68k version of AROS (also some Amiga/68k version). But it has not been worked on for years and would not build without a few changes/fixes because of some "design" changes in lowlevel areas. No, endianess is the smallest issue. AROS was from start written to take different endianess into account (tough a couple of endianess issues are not unlikely to be still in). But 68k is so terribly slow and AROS source has become so terribly big that any work on 68k version only makes sense if you use crosscompiler under some faster machine.
There's has also been an 68k Palm port of AROS not so very long ago. It managed to boot upto Workbench screen on xcopilot Palm emulator. The author of the port then had legal concerns (Palm possibly not being very happy about another OS on their PDAs) and also some worries about the very fast changing Palm hw (switch to different cpus, different gfx hw, etc.) which makes it hard to finsih something before it becomes obsolete. So work on the port was not continued.
