WHat? Still no OS4? AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!

And I think I speak for all potential developers and marketers when I say:
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRR-
GGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!

I agree... Atleast those who bought the aone, should be able to atleast get the beta to fiddle with in meantime.. I surely feel for those who bought the earlybird..

@Marky_D_Sahd

You know that these kind of posts don't really serve any purpose, don't you?

@Rogue

They're not harping on you. They're just venting some frustration here on the forums. I'm certain I speak for everyone when I say we VERY much appreciate what your doing. But it has been a long, long wait for the community. We finally have G4 PPC machines with serious horsepower, and most of us are irritable having to run linux on it, when OS4 is what we crave.

And crave it we do. Have you ever seen the movie "Dawn of the Dead?" We crave OS4 like a zombie craves brains

They just really, really want that OS. There isn't a person on this site who wouldn't be honored to invite the OS4 developers over for a beer. They're just getting antsy. They aren't attacking you. They're just getting very anxious now that the completion date is drawing near.

Can you blame them?

Just take it easy! The OS can only become better every day and that's all what we want, right?

Chill out man........If we can't scream, we'll go insane instead. That's the tough reality for many of us here. The long wait gets to our nerves, because we're sooooo joyfully excited at the prospect of a new OS........please don't blame us for being sensitive about it. And after all.........shortly after new year means SHORTLY........hoho

You hopefully knew what kind of freaks you were getting involved with?, when signing the contract for a new Amiga operating system.......or are you shocked???
That scream is what kept the Amiga alive through the many years.......show great respect and scream with us

I know you can't give out any details. But how is the OS 4 development going?

@Rogue

Yes it IS frustrating. Like you know we love AOS just as much as you do. I know that you want it to be as ok as possible for the pre-release and perfect for the final release. That is how I would want it too.

However the screenshots looks so gorgous, the videos, the rapports and so on. It feels hard to sit here with the A1 runing Linux when you can have something much, much, much better on it . AOS runing all the software that I know of alot faster, looking much better is something that everyone would like to see and feel.

It is better to scream here than at home. One likes to share the fealing . It's not about you guys taking to long to deliver

As I have said in another similar thread...

"Hey, calm down.

Give the developers the right time needed to take us the best Amiga return...
Another little time is needed, be patient and have faith... another little more...

We are already the champions in this."

If you look back, you'll see that I've been, and continue to be, very supportive of all at Hyperion and your efforts. But yes, I am impatient. Some of us have had our earlybird units for over a year, but that's not important. What is important to me is that there are products out there which are losing money for their developers every month (and that includes Hyperion), and companies like Software Hut which I'm sure are sweating the advent of new product lines.

Yes, we all want it good, but we also want it now. We can't have both, and you will have to choose which is the way to go. And I will be supportive. But I will also be conserned and impatient. That's just me.

Hey, could you get Hyperion to post more screenshots. I mean do up some real nice pix showing off different areas of the OS as it is today.

Tell 'em what. If I manage to go to the AmiGBG fair, and there are any Jedi brothers there to represent Hyperion, and I'm still around to get pissed after the show's over, and they are too, one's on me!

i feel bad for the guys that bought the 600MHZ system's and now the 800MHZ G4 system's are out and all they got to do was run linux.
thats my main reason for not buying a board right now because i dont want to watch my system lose value when i can't even use OS4 on it yet.
