I can use AROS today, without any need to destroy its spiritual ancestor. AROS is good on its own.
I dont see AROS on x86 as destroying your ppc/OS4 combo - success or failure, how will it affect the 'tiny hobby market' of the very few die hard ppc/OS4 fans? Where do you pull this melodramatic spiritual ancestor stuff?
We want new customers - not just you lot.
The only way forward is x86 - whether people like it or not. I used to hate it, now Im at peace with it...
AROS isnt really good on its own...its got a long way to go.
On the assumption Commodore usa manage to sell plenty of pc's and want to develop it (I stated I think's it unlikely - but never say never) - There is the potential for it to overtake OS4 in users by a ####load.
