Hi,

Has anyone tried the Februaury update of Amiga OS4 Classic with the new Mediator1200TX?

OS4 booted fine with my old Mediator 1200 busboard and the v1.0 of the Amiga
OS 4 Classic installation.

After installing the February update my 1200 partially boots and halts. No vdeo output is evident on either the native Amiga RGB or the Voodoo 4 card.

The original classic install works to the point of using the native AGA output. It displays fine on my old RGB monitor. I assume there is no video via my Voodoo4 due to the kernal not recognizing the 1200TX.

Any ideas?

@nubechecorre

We have not forgotten the problem, its just not that easy to fix if the cause is not yet clear.

I have a Mediator TX system AND OS4 + update and it works here.

I am in contact with Elbox to see if we can figure this out.

Hmmmmmmmm (sorry for going slightly off topic) - February update of Amiga OS4 Classic...

When I was on Hyperion's website to download the update, I noticed that you have to be registered to be able to download the update:

"Hyperion Entertainment VOF is pleased to announce the immediate availability for download for registered customers of another service update of AmigaOS 4.0..."

As there had been no "other service update of AmigaOS 4.0" (classic) AFAIK, I cannot be a "registered customer of another service update of AmigaOS 4.0".

I only bought my copy of OS4 Classic last December - there was no hint on how to register it in the documentation - and there equally was no serial number (all other products that I registetred in the past had a serial number that I had to enter during the registration process).

So I'm a little bit lost - how did you register and download your "February update of Amiga OS4 Classic"???

Chose register product
