I want to add some screens (or better if possible) some animate gifs in Wikipedia showing new features of AmigaOS 4.1 GUI, such as entire zooming of the Workbench, thanks to new composition engine.

Is there someone of Hyperion or authorized developers who could create it?

Anim-snapshot-grabbing should be in a standard anim-filetype so I will be able to change it to Anim-gif or anim-png.

If someone could create directly it in Anim-gif, he/she will be welcome.

Together with the anim file it should be necessary a disclaimer stating that the images are taken from your own actual computer screens in order to claim fair-usage and avoid any copyright infringement.

I guess you'll have all the answers to your questions and many more about OS 4.1 when it will actually be released : beta-testers and developpers are under NDA as such they can't reveal anything until it's public...

The announcement said mid-Q3, which is ... 2 weeks. Obviously you should give them a few weeks leeway because mid-Q3 isn't a precise date, but it is expected soon.

(edit) Oh well, no need to just drop hints... as of today, AmigaOS 4.1 has gone gold... Actually, silver, since the CD-R that Thomas burned it on was sliver, but then, who cares about colors.

Production and delivery will take a few days, so I suppose that "two weeks" isn't such a bad estimate.

That's great news!

I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised when AmigaOS4.1 was announced.
I'm really looking forward to install it on my Micro-A1.

One question though, the new file system, can I install it on the boot partition?

Unfortuantely, no. SLB does not support it, you can only use FFS/00 or SFS/00 as boot partition.

I lack the equipment for that. We had made some videos in the past using a webcam, but the result was pretty horrible, and everything looked jerky although it wasn't.

Before that, I even tried my cell phone... You don't want to see that, really

Of course I can't say how long the production will take (probably around eight days or so), plus delivery, plus packaging and all that stuff... It may well take two or three weeks until the product hits the market, but at least, it is set in motion now.
