hmmm. Would PPC emulation actually be NEEDED as such if UAE were running on a Mac or a SAM, on top of a very stripped-down linux, for example?

In theory, you would need a Mac or a SAM which has a 60xx PPC CPU and a CSPPC or BPPC board emulated in WinUAE, plus Windows for this CPU to be able to run WinUAE. Good luck
Edit: Just take your already existing UAE which emulates A4k plus CSPPC and is able to run the existing MorphOS, and add another boot partition for OS4. What, your UAE cant run MorphOS? Then why should it run OS4Classic? Your UAE cant run the A1 Linux? Then why should it run OS4Final?
