I think that AmigaWorld should remain an AmigaOS4 related site. But hardwarewise, should we talk only about A1s?
I think we should consider all the future and the possible hardware platforms for our beloved OS, and the Pegasos and EFIKA are two of those. So BBRV, being a PPC board manufacturer, is not off topic here, especially when we talk of the Pegasos as a possible platform for AOS4.
Obviously I don't like too much MorphOS and AROS propaganda here, as there are better places where you can talk about them; but there is a common ground and if trolls will be moderated I don't dislike comparisons being made between all the Amiga-like OSes.
So, just my 2 cents

Sorry to get a bit personal (and it is *no* offense, but I just want to know why), but I do not understand why everything in your world must be black or white. You seem like a 'perfect cliche German': Everything must be regulated and follow strict rules. Me shivers by that narrow minded attitude (I may say so about Germans, sine I am one of these guys )...

I am for an open Amiga forum. Everything which belongs to Amiga should be welcome. Be it 68k, OS4 AROS and MOS.
They are all brothers, sure brothers in competition, but still brothers. Everything else is a denial of the reality.
And no worries the 'blue camp' does not hijack aw.net, they just add another flavour. Nothing more.

There is no rule set in stone that we must cater for your preferences. Try elsewhere.

as long as it fits under the topic group as a legitimate thread and no trolling is going on i say let things be as it is.

classic= classic systems and oses only
os4 = os4 only
amiga news= amiga news only (not amiga alike)
general computing= any computer system can be discussed ad-nauseum.

Odd. I see no references anywhere that AWN is not an open Amiga forum.

In the Netiquette it reads: "We share one common ground, we are all Amiga users! Respect other opinions, even though you may not agree. Everyone is entitled to their say, but please do so in a courteous manner."

Maybe you should discuss with the other moderators about a change in the TOS, or a change in the name (e.g. OS4World.net) if you have such serious issues with it.

No I cannot, since I am not the owner of morphzone. But at morphzone we are not afraid of OS4 users, but give them a warm welcome. Easy as that.

And as I said you do not have to fear that aw.net is 'hijacked' and turned into a MOS only site, but MOS is a part of the 'Amiga world' and therefore it should be welcome here, too.

In my personal opinion the following happened:
- In the beginning there were two forum where the red/blue camp was able to fight with each other anonymously: moobunny & ann.lu
- moobunny has been bought by bbrv, and while they said it will not harm the forum itslef, I see only A1/OS4/Ainc&Hyperion bashing so it became boring...
- ann.lu has closed it's doors before anon posts now, and the fights are also over, so it became boring...

The only place remain is the aw.net where they can advertise how the pegasos2 and morphos so superior than a1/os4. And seeing the "Who's Online" box in the left, we have a nice answer why are they came here.
