If I was eager for some information of a possible release for a product I would like to see a real prototype board (even though it doesn't run an OS yet).
This might not be a common thing todo for a company but some do.
Many companies produce protypes far from working just to keep the customers faith and keep the customers from other firms with competing products, in this case a schematics says absolute nothing when a product could be out for real ppl.

I assume that a real life board would also be interesting for a company that would licens an OS for it aswell.

OTH. I really believed a long time that the BoXeR would become reality certainly because the mobo was presented, but that didn't become reality for several reasons.
But that got the faith up for a very long time though.

The second faith and business appear in the same context, I'd start to get seriously worried.

One'd think that by now, after the long series of scams this community has undergone, people would have learned to keep themselves as far as possible from anything that they couldn't touch or buy the moment it was annouced.

But of course reality always beats imagination. :)

Faith => demand => business opportunity

Keep the faith!

Seeing is to believe in is a good expression =)

That's just why I placed a comment in this thread, and since the question was
"Will Amy05 will be for sale this spring?" and I know what a pain debugging hardware can be when its allready in prototype-stage and not knowing whether there is a half/full-functional prototype ready yet for this board or not is not really encouraging for me (if I was going to be a customer for this board).

Only seeing some schematics for a product that should have gone out in a couple of productions runs last year and not seeing any evidence of such real life proto is not good for faithful ppl. thinkning it will be out this spring IMO.

Yes it might seem so, but I don't count on that. As I said before, there are a number of running projects; some of them I follow quite closely and have a lot of faith in them. I don't even doubt that the Troika board will come out. Yeah, I am kind of frustrated that it takes so long, but I suppose that is inevitable.

OS 4 is not only a desktop OS, but also aims at embedded markets.

No comment on the 'manufacturer' label, however..

I'm a bit offended by the fact that there is no Hyperion logo on it.

No, they couldn't, since they didn't design the AmigaOne, but that's irrelevant and a bad example anyway.

@AMiGR

Able to actually publish the design or not, as a purely hypothetical scenario, it was a perfect example. Besides, they even did publish an image not so unlike the first image that Troika published, remember?

This all seems much more positive!

The other thread seemed to suggest there is no hope.

It could be, but who cares?
It IS the "DPaint drawing", just another view showing seemingly arbitrarily placed connection pads on an ORCad Layout Plus screen instead of seemingly arbitrarily placed pretty (ahem) chips in colour.
