Nope, but I'm sure gary_c will try to explain away Bill's SOOO professional behavior though. | Whenever I've read gary_c's posts, they have been well considered and constructive, so I do not see your point here. |
Thanks, but it's good to remember that, for some people, once they have made up their minds, anything further said that doesn't fit their worldview is pigeon-holed as "explaining away" or "spinning" or "FUD," no matter what its validity might be from a more objective point of view.

Also consider this:
All a good hardware needs to be successful is a good software support. You won't do much with a perfect system without applications. |
Hi bbrv,
A-ha! Stop right there.
Applications? Before that, there is (dare I say most important application?) the need for an OS, and not one that will run you $4.50 US.
I'm sorry, but the HW has to be one-to-one for AOS to survive whether the customer uses only Linux, or writes his own #### OS.
AOS4.x will have to be bundled with some new piece of HW you guys make, because Peg2's have been sold everywhere now, and there's too much opportunity to just pirate it.
Dongles are no fun to have to use and are eventually by-passed, right? |

If ever dongle is bypassed why would a user buy a Pegasos + AmigaOS4 where he could just buy the bare Pegasos and the get the pirated copy anyway? But the best way to prevent piracy got to be non existent hardware and a bit of gloom around the platform, that way no one will wont to touch him, even if freeLast edited by pixie on 21-Sep-2006 at 10:40 AM. One should stand for what one say, if you're brave enought to say it trough PM you should be brave to do it in widely... likewise Cecilia should if she really wanted or had context for had shown the 'PM' BBRV had sent her, I think she is perfectly entitled to show it, namely as a proof... or should you just have to go trough the hassle of saying in your own words, changing verb tenses of what has been said to you and namely about you? ..............
Unless that one says that Cecilia has no right even to say that she was threatened by BBRV... | Just for clarification, AS SOON As I receive a PM sent by bbrv I don't even open it up, I IMMEDIATELY notify a mod. In fact after I posted here yesterday, I got another PM from bbrv - which has stayed unopened. I sent Mikey_C a PM about it because he was the mod online. The point is to let the proper authorities deal with the situation. If you get a threatening letter via paper mail you let the Post Office and the police know. That's because sending such mail is a felony (In the US, anyway. I'm sure there's something similar in other countries.)
And I keep these PM's so I can prove having received them to anyone I need to. Showing them in public is just not the proper course of action, that's all.
waving one's underwear in public is something bbrv is renowned for. I simply have more class._________________ "In terms of worship, I worship the God of Irony. That's the only God that I know exists." Terry Gilliam |

That seems like a nice little round up to this thread
Guess I can lock this now then.
Unimportant info: This thread is not the longest thread on aw.net.
