Also, regarding an announcement, we're likely to keep silent until the prototypes are running OS4 as per feedback from respected individuals.

A much better strategy Adam I think we would all agree I am truly interested in moving forward, best of luck.

Da Rude!

That's a safe strategy, but personally I'd like to hear about any milestones that you *actually* reach - for example, when the prototype passes all basic test software (without any OS).

The only thing which I (and most others) have ever complained about was making public *predictions* about when certain milestones might be reached (and then failed to materialise).

Anyway, as for all those working on OS4 h/w, I look forward to seeing the results of your efforts - and perhaps buying one if it works well & appears soon.

ACK:
"..we're likely to keep silent until the prototypes are running OS4.."

Thanks for the update, but..

Don't you have any working prototypes, yet? I mean, it's been 6 months
since you promised demonstrations of working prototypes..

I understand that you have other things to do, and delays are natural but
your statements last summer could have been nothing but lies then..

Or, do you mean that the prototypes are working, just not with Amiga OS 4.0?

@ironfist: Good question.

Another question is: Which prototypes? Powervixxen LT or TL? Or something new?

Anyway: Good luck for the prototypes, Adam! I hope we can buy them soon!

Surprise surprise.. sigh
Why did you then announce that you would have an announcement? Why does this always happen? I have no faith no more and am starting to think you are playing a cruel hoax on the naive amiga community.
Just showing working hardware running linux or similar would boost your reputation alot.

Do you have working hardware or do you not?

It wasn't an announcement for an announcement. It was a comment in a thread...also things change. I only wish it was a cruel hoax....a lot of time, energy, and money have been invested over the last few years.

@takemehomegrandma

he is merely stating that if it was a hoax he wouldn't be having so many headaches right now. not the least of which is ensuring a return on investment(time, money, etc)

@ackcontrls

Happy New Year Adam,

I'm glad you are back here and I understand things can go another way than the planned one especially if it's not your main day job.
Don't loose your motivation now, your projects are waited with much eagerness, and very much more now OS4 is final. This is why people are aggressive.

Keep pushing your projects forward we need you succeed (personnaly the CPU module and eventually a PV for my A1200)

c'mon, is it really too hard to prove that you are not joking with us? You promised picture of your hardware, you talk about a source that can surprise us. you don't want to add anything?

I too would like to see some pics, but given what happened with Troika's weirdly routed/etc board, it wouldn't be surprising if ACK had changed his mind (from many months ago) about posting some pics (ignoring the (IMHO) spurious insult-related reason he previously gave).

@thomas
Unlike some of his previous posts from 6+ months ago, this was *not* "an announcement of an announcement" - that would have been something like "expect an announcement next week". He was merely explaining the reason for his silence. Please get off the guys back (when it isn't justified), or he's not going to bother posting ANYTHING to AW.net (ok, not much change, but you know... ;).

I myself dont know much about designing motherboards, but those who complained was trustworthy people who knew something about it.
I did not see many people jumping on samantha people even though they both released pictures and showed the board in public.
