I wouldn't attempt Italian.

Major issue is not with the language, and perhaps I shouldn't have written that, but the ongoing, seemingly never-ending issue with polls, in that people rarely select options that make sense to others.

I choose Hyperion, mostly because they have been on this site during OS4 development talking about things like design decisions, being transparent and available to the users.

Honestly OS4 really is their "Baby" they deserve to have it and support it. Being a developer I know that just because you get a look at source code of an OS that someone bought doesn't mean you can duplicate it easily on other hardware or how much time it's going to take. I haven't seen the source code but I remember back in the 80s attending an AmiExpo meeting with RJ Mical and Dale Luck and them talking about the 1.2/1.3 source code and the volumes of it and well the "quality" of how it was written that I can't help but think that Hyperion had a rather daunting task and they must be superb at writing OS code for hardware.

I think they deserve respect and credit for what they have accomplished and not lawsuits.. There is an old quote that I respect:

"We are like dwarfs sitting on the shoulders of giants. We see more, and things that are more distant, than they did, not because our sight is superior or because we are taller than they, but because they raise us up, and by their great stature add to ours."

I believe Hyperion in this case is the giant, and honestly we wouldn't be anywhere without them. People bringing lawsuits who couldn't accomplish the same task on their own who have to hire out the talent should think about this before bringing lawsuits..

I choose AI because they bought the OS in April of 2003.

I've been preaching its a shell game for years, you sure arent going to wear me down now that Ben's idiocy has been revealed. AI #2 owns the OS, voting for a company that sold the OS to be the rightful owner of the OS is a little silly in my book. If I sell a car, I dont expect 4 years later for people to be voting on whether I should get to keep the car in my garage no matter who I sold it too, who they sold it to, etc. As long as I didnt buy it back, its not my car anymore.

Doesn't the business practices of the "licensor" bother you at all? Do you think that is good for the community?

Damnit! I just hit Vote! by accident and voted for Amiga Inc. I definitely did not want to vote for them, and I can't re-vote and don't see a way to retract it (sorry I am in a meeting and wasn't paying attention after checking the results...don't ask). Unfortunately my blunder affects the overall results.

I PREFER HYPERION.

Personally I think Hyperion has been shackled by Amiga Inc. this entire time. I think as soon as they are *able to* release products without worrying about licensing and legal issues we will see a ton of cool stuff happen, and customer support won't be an issue anymore.

Amiga Inc. has been the weight around the neck of the Amiga for years.

I didn't vote because there isn't third option which states "BOTH"

Someone likes AInc, someone Hyperrion but like them or not we need them both to keep Amiga going. We need them both to deliver OS4. You'll see court case will be tie.
They are both losers now. They must make out some solution.

Don't bother Tigger. He hates Ben Hermans too much to see Ainc is not in charge, and he wasn't able to argue Cobra's facts also.

I choose Hyperion - of course -, because while AInc did nothing, Hyperion did the hard work.
