@kirka and everyone,

A bunch of stuff is getting shipped out this week:

1) Chris's board will go out on Monday, and he should have it on Tuesday or Wednesday.

2) I'm just waiting on a few case parts for Ivan's machine that were damaged when the machine was shipped to me, but he'll have it this week.

3) Kneedeep's board will go out around mid-week.

4) Cash flow has improved and the issue with Jens will be finalized within a couple weeks.

Adam

@ackcontrls

That is good news for people who currently have business with you.
What about people hoping to do business with you?
Is there any hope of new hardware being produced by yourself for this summer?

OK, You work hard om it!
Good!

And now we wait Amiga Inc win in the court!

However, can You ship the new computer with OS 4.0 before
the court is over?

Can You ship the new computer with OS 4.0 if Hyperion win?
(But I'm sure the Amiga Inc win, I ask anyway)

I'm sorry the bad word the community write about You.

How could he, without full rights to the OS4 sources (Hyperion, Friedens and 3rd party developers)?

What would you do if you were in Ivan's, AmigaAbattoir's or Jens shoes? Praise him for keeping your money, not returning your hardware, not paying you, or giving lame excuses? "Bad words" is the wrong term here, just let the facts speak for themselves.

No, I don't think so.
I don't think Pentti (and other) spend money if the plans is to don't go forward
with Amiga. I think Pentti have a big plans for the seek engine and
Amiga.

Then you are mistaken. I'd even wager to say that the majority of the "community" hopes for Hyperion to win the lawsuit. Have a look at the sentiment expressed in recent polls.

I now that (and it's very funny), but the community is a very small market, no computersystembuilder can live at that.

The Amiga community often forget the community is a very, very small.

I think Pentti only wants OS4 back at Amiga so he can sell it off and forget the whole thing. The ACK announcement and Kent stadium deal were only there to falsely raise the price of Amiga Inc. Now that the case against Hyperion is a little trickier than they expected the other deals are starting to backfire on Amiga Inc.

What were the main problems?

Was it training issues or insubordination with the Elves

or

Was it a shipping/transport issue. Did you manage to talk Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and his team into working all year round?

@linnar
Why are you so against Hyperion? They are the one who wanted OS4 to continue, they are the one who has developed it so far. How could them controlling OS4, and licensing it to ACube/etc be bad?

OTOH, what Amiga Inc wants for OS4 is unknown. It looks like they *may* want it as an 'mini laptop' (think Nokia N800). The current deal with ACK seems like a last-minute thing, to make them look better to the courts - maybe they are serious about the desktop market, but who knows? Frankly both Amiga Inc's & ACK's past history does not inspire confidence, whatever their plans.

Overall, I'd prefer Hyperion to win, since they seem the better bet. If Amiga Inc win, it may be good, or it may be bad, and I'd prefer not to risk finding that out.

I think this thread already achieved one goal when ACK chose to reply here. Thanks all, ACK included, for that. I look forward to future updates from ACK as well as those affected so we can follow whatever progress takes place.

How can you say what the majority want when the majority never even post or voice their opinion on anything here? Or do you mean to say the "perceived majority"?

Of course I was talking about the Amiga community as perceived from this website, e.g. in polls or in forum discussions.
It was in response to linnar, who said that "**we** wait Amiga Inc win in the court!"
This gave the impression that most, if not all, people would support Amiga Inc in the lawsuit, although this is simply not the case.

However I do think that the general opinion is not much different outside of this community, so maybe it's even representative.
