@AmigaBlitter

My opinion is Amiga, Inc. will never release an original software product. No apparent manpower, funding, vision or commitment. When there's good evidense that they have these things, then there's a chance for new software somewhere in the future. Until we see the evidense, there's no reason to think of Amiga, Inc. as a software vendor.

TAO may be gone, but the technology they invented will resuface.. but Amigainc isn't smart enough to use it the way it was intended.

It would be interesting to know if Amigainc how TAO's bankrupcy affects Amigainc's license..

I heard a rumor that OS 5 will have some cool "snake oil" feature, also known as the "BS" function.

@MichaelMerkel

amiga os5 is a nice dream, i think amiga will be bankrupt again soon enough...even if they focus on cell phones, and drop desktop OS completely theyll stuff it up in one way or another....its a company with incompetant managment...the only reason management isnt fired is managemnt owns the company....

i dont beleive its just money laundering because they could just buy a brothel/s for that...or a million other better ways to launder money

There's a lesson to be learned, something a lot of companies don't really ever learn. You hear it from the fan base a lot. "Do it right. We'll still be here. We'll wait," and it's tempting to just let things slip. But that's really not OK. If you're doing something cutting edge, you're making fundamental decisions about your architecture, and if you let it slide for a year or two, then it's just not the right decision anymore.
