@TrevorDick

thanks Trevor for that very generous and interesting offer! For all those people coming to this event Trevors donation could be the big 'Red' one you've all been looking for. I'm saying no more until it's all been confirmed.

If anybody else is feeling generous and would like to donate anything to the raffle please PM me or contact me via email.

Bugger... this show sounds like its shaping up to be a big one.. plus I've just found out loads of people I've not seen in ages are going.. and for me that's what these things are more about.

I doubt I'll be able to pull the strings to go though... ugghhhh...

@Bobsonsirjonny

the show could be a good excuse of getting out of meeting her parents, or at least staying there too long!

Bring her along with you. My wife and a few other amiga widows will be there and you can always book up somewhere to stop over the night!! Killing 3 birds with one stone ;) ;)

Ugghhh... But I'm only 28... well, nearly 29.. that's still young! Would have been 14 when commodore went down.. how time flys...

Although I'm clearly punching above my weight with this one.. She's intelligent, hillarious.. very easy going.. incredibly reasonable in her expectations. Very, very low maintenance - she doesn't ever sulk! She loves to drink red wine (She's a GP and says in moderation it's very good for the heart) and her she looks like her mother.. which isn't a bad thing as her Mum used to model.. and if she looks as good in 60 years time.. I better be careful in case I talk myself into something stupid... give it 3 years and I may be mad enough..

I'd love to be there.. but, from speaking with her today she's really excited about the 1st.. We've got a party to go to in the evening as well.. I could blow things off and go to the Amiga bash.. I really want to go - and it's not as if she'd stop me, or indeed be upset with me.. but the 1st means a lot to her, and I wouldn't wish to disappoint..

Amiga Show, where the beer flows freely with old friends... or deflating her.. Maybe I'm whipped.. but I know this means a lot.. ugghhhhh....

I should be there, if everything goes to plan, with the last few black Minimig enclosures left.

They are going to be priced slightly cheaper just for the show, so come and grab yourself one of these for your Minimig, I will also get orders at the show for the next batch of white, black and classic enclosures.

I am not sure if I am going to be ready to show the SAM case, but you never know

Hey!! You could always bring her along as well.

I don't know who'd be more surprised.

That would surely scare her off, meeting us geeks!

@Bobson

Good on ya fella, there will be other "bashes" I'm sure - just make sure you can get to the next one!

@everyone

Ok...I will be present with the last 4 remaining black Minimig enclosures, TrevorD has just snapped up one, thanks Trevor.

I will also be there with my own white and classic (beige) ones to take orders for the next batch of white, black and classic.

It's going to be a good bash!

@TheDaddy

It is.

RAFFLE PRIZE CONFIRMED

TrevorDick has generously donated a brand spanking new, wonderful red SAM board and OS4.1 to our raffle !!

So, do you fancy winning some brilliant new hardware and software as well as meeting the Amigakit guys, Hyperion and many more into the bargain?!?!? If the answer is "hell-yeah!" then pledge now at the MAG website

http://www.midlandamigagroup.info/bash.htm

Raffle tickets will be on sale when doors open and the draw will take place at the end of the event.

Money raised will go into the MAG piggy bank for funding the website, holding further bi-monthly meetings (which everybody is invited to) and perhaps even a MAG UK Event 2!

If there are any further donations please contact me via email or PM

I'd just like to publicly thanks TrevorDick for donating such a fantastic prize and his outstanding generosity. This will hopefully put the icing on the cake for one lucky Amigan.

See you all on the 1st November!!

I would really love to win this, as I am sure would a lot of other people.
I can't afford one at the moment, but I could afford some raffle tickets.

Agreed, although I'd love to see it go to a non-OS4 user!

I agree with you Rudei.

I would like Luke to allow this excellent prize (SAM+OS4.1) to go to a dedicated Amiga user who hasn't got and never had OS4.x .....that would be me

I could make a nice case for it too LOL!

only a week to go and things are shaping up nicely.

I've got a lot of things on the go at the moment, so it should all come together nicely. Bearing in mind the great and generous prize that has been donated I have decided to sell the raffle tickets at 75p per ticket or £5 per strip of 5. So, hopefully that should mean that everybody will be able to have a punt.

Offers are still open to people who want to exhibit. I've had a couple of usergroups contact me, but I think there are still some more who may want to attend.

Again, offers are still open for people to buy and build. If you want to get your hands on either SAMs or minimigs or whatever contact Amigakit and make sure that they can bring the kit with them. If you do plan to build please make sure that you have your keyboard, mouse, monitor etc as MAG can't provide these

If you want to bring your kit along and show it off please contact me to make sure there are enough tables

If you are an amiga related company who can't attend but would like to send some marketing materials please contact me for postal address etc

See you all soon

ps. keep those pledges coming!!
