No. Amiga Inc aren't flogging anything. Some people here are so intent on being part of the Amiga Inc Haters' Club that they are totally ignoring that someone else entirely (aka Envizions) are flogging Linux-based subscription gaming systems with energy drinks.

In all honesty, I think it looks pretty damn cool actually, as unfashionable it is to praise anything Amiga Inc does these days! |
uhhh, what part of developing this did Ainc do?
the only connection it seems is Ainc have done a deal to allow evo buyers to download Aincs crappy games...

I don't think anyone is saying Amiga is releasing the machine. The thread clearly shows its a business partner (at least as of 2006) doing so. And its a specific platform at the time that Amiga was excited to be releasing software for.
The coupon redemptions available for the Evo do add to the funny factor, as well as odd choice of other business ventures (Evo with their energy drink and Amiga with the Kent Arena). Makes them seem like quite the fitting pair, which is humorous.
EDIT: BTW Amiga has added an EVO logo to their shopping website:

Time to update your tagline. You can buy a Sam440ep with AmigaOS 4.1 right now.

WOW!! A video card AND a sound card. OK thanks for not getting TOO technical on us there.

Well in fairness to him he knew it was 80gb for the hard drive, and he knew that the video card vendor was Sapphire and the sound card vendor was Creative Labs. But yes it was a very poor answer for someone specifically asking for tech specs._________________ Pegasos2 G3 running AOS 4.1 and MorphOS 2.0 Amikit user, tinkering with Icaros VM (AROS) EFIKA owner Amiga 1200 |
