A semi-okay workaround for those who don't want to mess with cables in the house, but keep their computer rather stationary is to just put an AP beside the computer and connect the AP with a very short cable to the ethernet jack. While this workaround may be okay or some, it is of course not the non-plus-ultra solution. I have cables in my flat anyway... _________________ My programs: via.bckrs.de MorphOS user since V0.4 (2001) |

MorphOS Cold Boot = 28 - 30 seconds Warm Reboot = 28 - 30 seconds No-WiFi 32MB RAM - Screens are 800x600x24bit it should allow for more, must be configuration thing!
Very responsive on MacMini - 1.5Ghz 512MB machine though!

Of course it is, check your screen mode settings, 32MB is enough even for 1920x1080._________________

If it is a 1.5 GHz maschine it has 64 MB VRAM. My Mini 1.5 GHz boots automatically to the 1280x1024 resolution of the attached monitor. And it is F A S T ! ! ! _________________ My programs: via.bckrs.de MorphOS user since V0.4 (2001) |

If it does have 64MB RAM, then this 1st install of MorphOS has not detected it properly. _________________ Quote:

You probably have a silent upgrade model (i.e a 1.42GHz model overclocked to 1.5GHz, but still with 32MB VRAM of course). |

Anyway, the amount is surely properly detected (you can check it with Utilities/GraphicBoards program).
If you get so limited resolutions, it means DDC probably failed to retrieve resolutions from your monitor. There can be several reasons for this: non DCC-compliant monitor, non DCC-aware monitor at all (many old CRT aren't), behind some "bad" KVM, or possibly a bug in DDC handling in MorphOS... :)
In any case, you can always define manually your resolutions in preferences->monitors (you can try using some VESA presets or so to make it easier). |

| Wow - the Mini 1.5 GHz is more than 4 times faster than my Peg 1 G3/600 and about 9 times as fast as my Efika in a first very brief testing. Amazing!

Hi - Yes. Monitor is Westighouse LCD 22" I changed the Monitor Mode and then the Screens settings. Maybe - Utilities/GraphicBoards program is not reporting the correct amount of Video RAM.
I've got 1280 x 1024 x 24bit working now! _________________ Quote:

As a project member of OpenURL I'd like to know what exactly was broken. According to the release notes something must have been really bad, but we never got a bug report. Not a very nice way to handle things...
