There is NO SIGNIFICANT DOUBT, ask me again in SIX months.

@anybody-worried:

Sure, it is vaporware/hoax, accept it right now and stop crying.........then, when it'll become a reality you'll be lots more happy and pleasant than if you want it impatiently every day, in healthy terms..at least

@ddni

Yeah, it'd be actually quite funny, if it wouldn't be so batshit insane.

This is kind of the Amigas version of Apples' Steve Jobs, Timothy D. Cook, some head programmer of OS X, and that guy who made XCode appearing on MacRumors.com and stating that the next MiniMac plus OS X 10.7 will be reality, and people on the board denying it permanently.

I mean, I haven't been around again that long in Amigaland, just since 2006, but was there ever a time when the people actually in command of doing something for the platform were as close to the community as they are now? I mean, it seems McBill didn't post one thing here or anywhere else.

I know people have been burned a lot of times, but since the last two years stuff gets better and better in Amigaland (Mini Mig, AOS 4.1 plus update and lots of cool software (blender, codebench, etc), AROS getting more and more cool, MOS for Apples, etc) , so maybe it's finally time to be a little bit positive again.

Good times, guys...
Let it roll...

I have to admit they had a lot of momentum with the roll out and then..silence. I honestly don't know what to make of it as a potential user...and I for one have the disposable income to put my money where my mouth is... This marketing strategy is bizarre at best. Sorry.

I am positive that work started before they even mentioned "MAP" on their site.

When did they first talk about OS4 already running on the "mystery device"?
IIRC they later called that "mystery device" "MAP", which turned out to be the AmigaOne X1000...
