Ehm OWB is a port, not an "original" Amiga software, like MPlayer or many others .. _________________ BACK FOR THE FUTURE

As joerg like to say "owb its only core" , so its core, but all the gui its 100% amiga native stuff done by fab for mui version, and by joerg for reaction version. Its like kernel are cross-platform, but gui looks amiga native . Its port of course, but still port of core + amiga native gui done from scratch
@all Anyway, as i expect still some problems. Binary for now even not runs normally, and give error from elf.library "unknown/unsupported reloc , unknown_36". Trying for now to play with linking arguments. _________________ aos4/aros/mos projects & articles

great, that you and Fab are working together.
I think a MUI Version is 100 times more amiga as a timberwolf or other firefox Port, or other Linux Port.

It was a joke, like "real amiga its gadtools and OCS". Because when someone start to talk what is more amiga, and what is less amiga, its just funny today.
@all Some progress related to mui-owb on aos4: -- we found the problem with unknow_relocation - fixed -- binary runs, but crashes with async.libary - fixed -- now binary runs, load the resource data (still, png-depacking by some reasons give little-easy dsi) and say "can't create internal classes".
So, at this point real work start : mui4 deps. For first we try with Fab to remove dependences in the main owb window, just to see some broken-ugly window without tabs/etc, but for now we in busy-loop by some reasons , so no screenshot yet.
Hope now to catch Deniil, and we will start to work (yeah, that all was only about initial attempts). Last edited by kas1e on 11-Jan-2011 at 10:01 AM.

| @all Some news about mui-owb:
- spend almost full 3 working days with fab to found nasty bug in aos4 compilator. Its not a bug , its BUG. Really evil and .. and just a ####ed one. Fixable, but very bad one and interesting (will post some more info later today). _________________ aos4/aros/mos projects & articles

Fixed that error : it was because of my bad DoSuperNew implementation, now with help from Thomas and Trev all works in that terms . So no bugs in our GCC, just bugs in my head :)
At this point we for now very close to see initial window, and looks like right now it should spawns, but is not, and maybe because of PNG images, which our binary can't depack normally (give DSI), and need to fix it. Very possible that its because of our libpng port (or maybe again something strange which need to found and fix).
In other words at this point i already expect to see something on screen very soon. Fab say that he will create some small test example which will help us to understand some stuff, so i hope very soon to post screenshot. _________________ aos4/aros/mos projects & articles
