I also am interested in this, not sure how much money I can put forward, but can certainly help with the organisation, and ideas. perhaps we can have a list of projects on a project website that developers can volunteer for an dget a machine to complete said project?

Then introduce yourself on the mailing list:
1. Who you are.
2. How you would like to contribute to the organisation.
3. Any ideas you might have.
4. Any problems you forsee.

One of the aspects of the scheme might be to get the developer kit to anyone successfully registered in the scheme.
