If you like this software, I suggest buying the latest version and supporting it's further development.
From looking at his website, it appears that version 5.3 is the latest release and it is available for OS4.x, MorphOS2.7, AROS, Windows and MacOSX (both Intel and PPC versions).
If you want developers to continue supporting Amiga-Like OSes, then we should support the developers by buying their work.
Thanks Davey for releasing version 4 free on OS4Depot and please keep supporting all Amiga flavors with your new work.
Edit: My mistake, I misread the AE4 website and now see that versions past 4 are only available on Windows & MacOSX. |
If I'm not confusing this with another application, I believe he's mentioned that he'd port the new version to AmigaOS if we had WxWidgets on our platform. I think AmiCygnix does WxWidgets. Not sure if that's what the author wants or if he only wants a native WxWdigets port. I wish I had time, perhaps when I get my OS4 netbook I'll be able to spend time for WxWidgets. (when do we expect the netbook again?)Last edited by billt on 13-Feb-2012 at 04:41 PM.

| This is a little OT but when I ckecked my debug buffer in an effort to determine the cause of my prefs saving crash, I noticed that camd.library is loading the via686 driver which doesn't seem right for my SAM Flex. I don't know if the SAM Flex 4 pin serial device works with MIDI. Can anyone tell me what CAMD driver should be used with a SAM Flex?? _________________ X1000 with 2GB memory & OS4.1FE |

| @Xenic Just remove the via686 file from SYS:Devs/MIDI - I must admit I don't know if there's something analog for the SAM systems. BTW: The via686 gives the same GrimReaper with my Pegasos II - although it is a via686 based system (but Mixer says "via686b" - maybe the difference is big enough...).

As soon as I get one of them netbooky things I intend to try and find some time to do so. I haven't been able to have a computer room for a desktop for a few years. :(_________________ All glory to the Hypnotoad! |

Just put an Amiga desktop next to the one you typed the above message on

Unless you have a sound card with a gameport on it you should use the CAMD USB MIDI driver. Several USB MIDI adapters have been tested and work just fine. Mine is a EDIROL UM-1sx. The USB driver is on OS4depot. |

It should.
Make sure the gameport Module is active in your KickLayout file.
I have a SBLive and will check it out later today, first I'll have to find my gameport MIDI cable, and wake up.
CAMD tools should be able to see it.
edit: You also need the camd driver OS4depot> Driver > Misc. Last edited by Mechanic on 14-Feb-2012 at 11:49 AM.

I'm interested in the Android port. I've been looking for some sort of recording program for my Android tablet with no luck. They only seem to exist for iOS so you may have pretty good sales when this comes out.
Do you plan on supporting some sort of USB audio interfaces for Android?. Most tablets seem to lack any sort input for audio besides a cheap microphone.

Nice, please contact me at info AT audio-evolution.com since I need testers if you are interested.
The problem with Android is that it doesn't support external MIDI or audio hardware. This is mostly a software problem, but some devices lack USB host mode or don't provide (enough) power to host these devices. So, recording on an Android tablet is really flawed. The only input you have is the built-in mic and it has no input gain! But it might be a chicken&egg situation. Perhaps Google and manufacturers are waiting for programs like this before they proceed with making and/or supporting such peripherals. _________________ Audio Evolution http://www.audio-evolution.com |

| Hi!
From some reason right after I have set the installation directory my system freezes. I get following error message
Guru meditation error 8.......03 task 0x6bf3f6b0 ("installer")... on address 0x01218c40
It's totally freeze, I need to reboot my machine
Does anyone else had same issues?
My system is: MicroA1 OS4 update 4
Thank you anyway for this piece of software, I feel like Donating.....if it's possible _________________ 5*C-64, C128, A500, A1200 PPC, Micro-A1(sold).....and X1000 |

| For some AOS4+Android geek: Do a SW that enables android tablet to be used as a MIDI keyboard for AOS machine. Problem solved, from some reason I had to choose different installation draver. There must be something strange going on my system. But that's another story...

Re: Which CAMD driver. I don't know which one of the "joystick" midi ports apply to that board, but the USB MIDI driver should work.
Also, as was mentioned before, CAMD does not look for a matching driver from Devs:midi, it just loads everything there. So if it doesn't match your hardware, you should probably not keep it in devs:midi.
