Besides was this post by one of the Hyperion fans how shall I call it "not very helpful". Hyperion certainly has contracts and can send it to those and then case is closed.

So Hyperion signs a deal with the developers and over a decade later the publisher says they need the rights from them.

Depends on the original licence agreement. Amusing is they know about "new" AmigaOS port, but knew nothing about prior Linux port...
