@saimo

We first have to establish intent.

Once we iron out the details with *agreement* we will make everything publicly known together, because this *is* the best to pull everything back together - red (old and new), blue, AROS, etc.

Well, if this will find a good end for all I would be very happy and I guess many many more.

Why are you telling me?!? It's obvious that things must be done "with agreement".
Just "iron out the details" not only for business sake, but also with respect toward the other party, the community and the platform. Let facts prove your goodwill. That's the only way you can get some trust back.

Excellent! I just hope that something will come out of this - I will for sure get one of your products, even though I have already considered Pegasos for MorphOS usage, but running AmigaOS on it would surely make Efika/Pegasos/etc. my choice!

There is only one.

If you can sell me a motherboard bundled with a legal copy of Amiga OS4, I'll buy it. I don't know if anyone will be able to do this, after reading about the Amiga Inc. and Hyperion dispute.

@polka.

Making cheap jokes won't help dude, I have better things to do than discrediting bbrv and his followers considering the fact that they do it all by themselves. For example using website visitors statistics for marketing research is all ok by me, but using it to discredit people is moronic and wrong. Whatever.
.... Off to test my latest software achievements for AmigaOS 4.

Do you really expect me to suddenly change my mind? Do you think I'm so mentally unstable? Do you think I'm a blind cheerleader ready to change flag at any time? You earned my distrust with years of sad actions. You *can* still earn my trust, but it will take you more - a lot more - than a half-convinced/convincing attempt at getting in touch with AInc.
The day my opinion of you will radically change will be a wonderful day. But it's not gonna be today nor tomorrow. It will take time and it's up to you to make it happen.
Note that this is important not because *I* am important - I'm just Mr Nobody -, but because a (relevant?) part of the community feels exactly the way I do.

I just noticed this.
You had moved 1 step closer with the license request, now you have moved 10 away with this one. But, after all, it does not make all that difference. You're still thousands of steps away...

Are you serious?

Does this really represent (relevant?) part of the community? I hope not, since then there is no hope for this community and AmigaDE and all that seems more sane thing to do ...

@bbrv

I for one would be glad to see some good PPC hardware with OS4 ruuning on it. If you can obtain a license then I'll be ordering a board from you. Good luck with your application and please keep us posted.

Regards,

Darrin

Well, this would be an interesting development! Bearing in mind the new bounty for AROS native on PegasosII I would have thought an OS4 license would make the Peg a 'must have' machine for just about everyone in the community.

Obviously the Italians, Ack (Troika?) still have time for an official AmigaOne offering - however I have said this since bbrv's Amiga Too thread - OS4 needs to be working with the only credible, shipping hardware company we have in the Amiga community.

Good luck! I hope everyone can win this time!

Bty: I think this topic deserves a Genesi in talks with Amiga over licensing thread at least! ??
Not least because it is a bit off-topic and also because it is pretty interesting!

Are you serious?

I am. The problem is that BBRV is not.

First off, nobody is talking about AmigaDE here, so let's pretend you didn't even mention it.
That said, hope - like trust - can exist only if there is a solid, serious ground. Now, if the person who wants to prepare such a ground is the same that plays these sad jokes (here's a strictly related one in this very thread), right after being adviced and given the chance to gain some trust back, then we have a problem. And it's not because of me of anybody else in this community.
