On looking at the FAQ on the AWeb site, the AWeb screen needs to be 256 colours(8bit) screen to print. I have changed AWeb to that and I can print, but only in black and white, although I thnk that that is down to the particular printer/printer driver that I am using. |
When saving as IFF, the resulting bitmap is the correct colours, so it is my printer driver _________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.

Since upadte 3 AWeb's printing has gone fubar!
Don't know why exactly. (well don't know why at all would be more honest)
You can still print from AWeb if it's running on an 8bit screen, but not if it's running on a "deep" screen.
This is particularly frustrating as I just got printing on deep screens working, for os 3.9 and later! (without needing turboprint)
I could be todo with the change in screen modes. They were all little endian and are now big endian. Work arrounds are Save as IFF and print from a program such as Multiview. OPen aweb onan 8bit screen if you want to print a page. |

Is it possible to use Turboprint with AWeb? What settings do I need to set?
I have a postscript colour laser printer, but the Amiga/Linux bitmap drivers only print in Black & White. I have to print in postcript to get colour. If turboprint worked with AWeb I could configure that (somehow?) to print in postcript.

Dunno, really, as said before i don't have a printer installed atm, but TP.
You need to go to the PS setting of TP and install Ghostscript (I am not able to test if the OS4 GS works with TP but i doubt that).
You can get a working (with TP, not sure if it works with OS4) version of GS here: Ghostscript for TurboPrint
Good luck
PS: The next printer i'll get me will be a LAN printer (PS or not), still looking for a good one which has existing drivers for... |
