Hey guys

I go on this site all the time (daily) and in the past couple of months there has been virtually no news on OS4 development, 3rd party software development for OS4, or anything. Some news would be good. Also what is the deal with Timberwolf? Not one tidbit of news since the alpha release :(

btw, the bros told us when they released the alpha that there would be no news till 'it was done' so lets keep our fingers crossed for a Christmas

Don't Panic.

Normally there is a deadline to get somethings done up to some stage so that it can be announced or demonstrated at an upcoming event.So things are generally quiet until a few days before the event. You know things are going well when the core developers take time out to post in the forums. Sometimes this is after a news item about an update is posted by one of them.
Also the 3rd party people have to wait for the official announcements before they can talk about their own software when it uses new OS features or enhancements.

One thing to look out for is a installation option of Amiga OS 4.x that does not need a CD/DVD drive. This has to come at some stage if the Sam 460 is going to be sold as a motherboard + OS4.x option.

its a niche os barely hanging on community communication is the most integral part of a business model like this..

There is OS4-related news on the front page most of the time, and as ssolie pointed out, Amiwest is near, and usually there is some news saved for the events.

They have said that the reason for the long delay is because of much work on the X1000 and that they are updating ff to latest 4.0....

AOS4 News of the last 7 days:

It seems to me (not beeing an AOS4 fan) a lot of important things happened, maybe you missed them.

Amigans.net is NOT a fanboy site like you call it. It's a site DEDICATED to AmigaOS4, it's a site where if you have a problem with your Amiga, especially running OS4+, you get advice and support.

It's a site where other non related Amiga rarely get discussed and that is HOW IT SHOULD BE.

Imagine setting up a website, let's say...about the VW Golf and people join and start talking about Ford Escorts, Porsches and so on...that would p*ss you off a bit, won't it?

I am glad that Amigans.net keep it free from other crap polluting the site, if I need help with my Amigas and OS4 I know where to go.

Just slagging a site off because people there are not interested in other stuff other than OS4 is plain ridiculous. People are free to do what they want so if they want an OS4 only site (which by the way amigans.net is not completely) then let them be.

I am quite happy that amigans.net exists actually.

I understand where your coming from, but there is so much development that needs to be done today, yesterday and forever more. I'd rather they spent every meaningful minute of every working day creating something great than posting on a forum with little or no real news.
