What? I just wanted to be part of the moment... Still, just goes to show what PCIe can do for your transfer rate ;)

people, do you really think the original poster wants to know in the closest detail the exact speeds of each and every os4 machine out there?

Finally, a "working" update (I hope)

http://crisot.free.fr/universe/files/RageMem.lha

Slow L1 issue should be fixed, added a 32 bits benchmark (instead of only 64 bits), added a mini MIPS benchmark...

I think it's *finally* "ok".

If correct, then the ECC RAM in my A1 is a bit weird (slow read, fast write, like VRAM) to say the least:

RAGEMEM v0.37 - compiled 11/06/2010

CPU: Motorola MPC 7445/7455 Apollo 2.1 @ 800 Mhz
Caches Sizes: L1: 32 KB - L2: 256 KB - L3: none
Cache Line: 32

--- CPU ---
MAX MIPS: 2395

--- L1 ---
READ32: 3045 MB/Sec
READ64: 6088 MB/Sec
WRITE32: 2609 MB/Sec
WRITE64: 2031 MB/Sec

--- L2 ---
READ32: 1411 MB/Sec
READ64: 1845 MB/Sec
WRITE32: 1266 MB/Sec
WRITE64: 1603 MB/Sec

--- RAM ---
READ32: 181 MB/Sec
READ64: 181 MB/Sec
WRITE32: 255 MB/Sec
WRITE64: 643 MB/Sec
WRITE: 664 MB/Sec (Tricky)

--- VIDEO BUS ---
READ: 29 MB/Sec
WRITE: 169 MB/Sec

For my BPPC/BVPPC machine:
RAGEMEM v0.37 - compiled 11/06/2010

CPU: 603e 7.513 @ 240 Mhz
Caches Sizes: L1: 16 KB - L2: none - L3: none
Cache Line: 32

--- CPU ---
MAX MIPS: 410

--- L1 ---
READ32: 905 MB/Sec
READ64: 1446 MB/Sec
WRITE32: 801 MB/Sec
WRITE64: 1441 MB/Sec

--- RAM ---
READ32: 70 MB/Sec
READ64: 73 MB/Sec
WRITE32: 40 MB/Sec
WRITE64: 40 MB/Sec
WRITE: 80 MB/Sec (Tricky)

--- VIDEO BUS ---
READ: 5 MB/Sec
WRITE: 15 MB/Sec

Yes kids, the video ram is that slow (I had my old benchmarks of old more or less confirmed this) though I have managed to beat it slightly using move16 on the 040.
