I did actually and your response is disappointing. In case you hadn't noticed, the entire thread is about MUI-OWB.

>>Just remember it's only thanks to a MOS developer's kindness that you can run OWB on OS4 at all. It was a pretty nice thing for Fab to allow.

That is why I said some...

@Fab

True, and I don't wan't to turn this into an another pissing contest again.

But at that point the Sputnik wasn't progressing anywhere and the OS4 version became much more than an SDL-port. Now would you honestly have taken a look at it without that?

I don't know what you meant with "We" but even lawyers working for Microsoft on a private base could sue Hyperion for this WWW page. Others had to pay some thousand Euros for links to a program named "Explorer" that was not from Microsoft.

And by the way, they mentioned Amiga like if this brand name where theirs, Amiga Inc or CUSA could sue them if they want. I know this is not Hyperions faulty ... at least not directly.

@clebin

But it's a reoccurring pattern from some MOS users, same on amiga.org (TakeMeHomeGrandMa springs to mind) and some others, the bitter signature under their avatars...

But I am not so convinced after Toaks's explanation.

I wish I knew what happened.

@TheDaddy

And the 'innocent' post which led here:
Quote:
Forgive me the whole AROS/OS4/MOS thing completely passed me by but why are MOS users so bitter?

What happened?

Note the absense of the word 'some'.

At the risk of pointing out the blatantly obvious, there aren't that many users here.
MorphOS users... AmigaOS users... I'm willing to bet the venn diagram has some significant overlap.

Try looking from the other side, at some of the bitter signatures under the avatars of AmigaOS users. There are no saints here. Except Number6 of course.

Now think about how some people express bitter opinions towards the current 'usurpers' on the Amiga scene. Including your good self.

"And it's all just a little bit of history repeating"

Aw, come on... I mean yes, it's misleading. But a) they're not selling the OS on this feature and b) OWB is a 3rd party product.

So no, I don't believe for a second any court on earth would get past the first 5 minutes before calling the men-in-white-uniforms in their special padded ambulance to help remove the plaintiff from the court.

Seriously. AmigaOS 4.x and MorphOS competing over what? The remaining 12 people interested in an NG Amiga solution? Or are we still fighting between camps trying to recruit their members?

Really? Just 2 weeks ago I had a couple users here yelling "FUD" because I stated that I didn't think the X1000 would sell in the 10's of thousands.

Not sure why you're telling me this, I think I wasn't part of that group? What we know so far though is that current production run of X1000 sold out. So that's two runs that have sold out, I think.

Funny how you group AmigaOS 4.x users together like that...

I have had fun on IRC all day, just because I don't approve of your humor I don't have humor? Kind of puts your other posts in a totally different light as well, doesn't it? If it doesn't agree with you, it's wrong... Have any more tricks up your sleeve?
