Hi,

Still, I wait for the completed core and utility for the AGA MK2 scandoubler/flicker fixer. It was promissed for June or July.

I also have the older model, the MK1. Out of curiosity I compared both units output on my 46" Samsung TV. There was no comparison. The MK1s output swept the floor with the MK2. With the MK2 the output was not centered and the bottom of the image was missing in PAL games (which is over 90% of them). There was alaso a lot of vertical stripping in the image. I imagine the lack luster image quality comapared to the MK1 is due to it's beta core and lack of a configuration utility. Has any one heard if an updated to the MK2s core will be released anytime soon? It sadens me that I paiid more for the AGA MK2 than the MK1 and it is (currently) an inferior product compared to it's predecessor.

I feel your pain... I've been following this issue closely and I can say in all honesty, that I'm kinda glad I didn't buy one now. My MK1 is rock solid! Hope they get this sorted out.

I am happy with it, over all. If the core update, if released, fixes the current issues I am experiencing, I will be a fully satisfied customer.

Hooked the DVI input on my LCD computer monitor is looks great. But I bought it to hookup my retro A1200 to my big screen TV. In that department, it doesn't do so well and the fact no info can be found about the updated core release causes me concern.

If you looking for updates then your better off hanging around EAB as that is where most of the discussion takes place for the mk2.

@Drewlio77

English Amiga Board

but there wont be answers for you right now. There was some problem with the software dev which is why the cores are delayed (jens does the hw)

U are not alone! i have an mk2 and It works nicely but I cant see NTSC modes which really blows :(

@realize

Thanks for the update. Some info is better than none at all.

When it comes to software or drivers for Jens Schoenfeld's hardware you will have always to deal with delays and poor support.
