Hello all, I had an errant thought lately..
My 1200 is currently hooked up to a widescreen TV (it has a VGA port, as well as composite input, allowing me to switch between RTG and AGA when needed, and I used picasso96 to make 16:9 screenmodes). Whenever I play a classic game (usually via WHDLoad), it of course blanks the left and right sides of the display.
I was wondering how difficult it would be to rig a pass-through video device that will splice some kind of "static" graphics over those blank spots? Thinking an rs-232 or parallel interface that would allow one to upload a bitmap to it (possibly cli-app one could stick in the whdload startup script). Not terribly well-thought at this point, as I just came up with it when my wife was droning on about something boring a few minutes ago.
